𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘
Earth became barren after the launch of the Space-H program, it had taken months but eventually humans began paying thousands to board spaceships that would carry them to the red plant. Promotions for the large move began popping up everywhere, large posters hanging along every street corner and Mars broadcasts taking over television channels. It took a year for almost every city and town to become completely empty, save for a few elders too old to make the trip. Among the few to remain was Talia Borrego and her father, who opposed the move with every fiber of his being. After his untimely death, Talia is left to fend for herself, stealing meals from abandoned markets and clothes from rusting shops. Six years after the initial departure of the first humans to colonize mars, a global broadcast is released to announce the launch of the final spacecraft carrying humans to Mars. Though Talia had promised her father she would stay among Earth, she's reaching the end of her rope, her food supply becoming short and the stores now completely desolate. Now her last hope for survival is fleeing from the Earth in a matter of days, with no plan of returning. Talia finds herself trekking across America facing hardships and meeting friends along the way.
