Chapter 2 Late Late Night Tinder with Kagami Taiga x Chubby reader

A few days ago Kagami had been jogging in the early morning. The fresh air was always good for him, and there weren't a lot of people that knew him on the trail that he regularly took but this morning felt a little different than usual.

"I don't know about this... I'm not exactly Tinder material!" a sweet little voice could be heard panicking in the background as he decided to stop and take a breather on one of the park benches.

"What nonsense are you talking about? If I were a guy I would date you!" her friend was talking a bit too loud breaking the peacefulness of the morning.

The unexpected audience leaned his shoulder on the stone table as he looked up at the canopy of trees, he couldn't help over hearing them since the little plump lady's friend was making a scene.

"You are a guy and you're not dating me..." she said flatly, she could feel butterflies going nuts inside her stomach.

"Excuse little Missy, but if you haven't noticed I like ehm with nuts and hotdogs and you just don't have them now, do you?"

They looked at each other seriously then laughed. Kagami silently laughed at their exchange thinking that they couldn't be possibly talking about the show that he kept getting invited to, could they?

"I should have been born a guy! Seriously I'm just going to dive straight into that ball pit" she was panicking "I'll save myself the humiliation and commit seppuku to have his honor!"

"Don't be silly! You're beautiful _________. Trust me. Have a little more confidence in yourself. You're kind and a super really good friend. Anyone would be lucky to have you by their side. If he doesn't see how beautiful you are then he's losing out on A LOT of loving honey"

"Try telling that to my exes" she knew that he was just saying that to make her feel better "They didn't have any trouble cheating on me and leaving me...sooooooooo"

"Oooooh honey come here "her friend gave her a tight hug as he patted her on back "It wasn't your fault baby girl"

At this point Kagami couldn't help but look in their direction and was a little taken back at the little lady. She wasn't like all those super models that came flocking towards him like a plague of locusts or the ones that kept flirting with him like they couldn't wait to take their clothes off. Just thinking about them gave him chills. Somehow she was different. He could feel it just by looking at her and basing on what he heard she's had it tough with other guys make her appear more fragile, like a precious glass figure. One wrong move and you'll forever lose her.

She clang to her friend sobbing a little as her scars started to open, it was funny but he could see it happening. A lotus flower that was deeply rooted in the mud. He had this strange feeling, a feeling that if she was cared for correctly then she would bloom, and not just any blossom. She would be the most beautiful flower that he would ever see. He had to know if she was the one.

"Come one _______, they weren't worth it. They lucked out. Believe me. And if that guy, whoever the tinder guy will be, will luck out big time as well" her friend hugged her before finally pushing her away gently.

"Let's just back out. It's not too late right?" ________ looked up at her friend pleading when he suddenly looked away guilty. "I can't do it. I can't be the only potato there. All the rest of them will be Coca-Cola bottles!"

"Coca-what now?" her friend raised an eyebrow at her comment "Are you hungry? Did you eat? Are you low on sugar?

"Don't be silly. You know Coca-Cola bottles....because of the shape! The sexy shape? And me a potato...."

"Well potatoes are healthy and if knows what's good for him then he'll choose the healthy option and besides" He gently brushed her hair aside " You're one hot potato that comes with a whole lot of loving!!!"

They both laughed and her smile was more dazzling to Kagami than the early morning sun. Her cheeks blushed light pink. Her eyes were sparkling as she laughed. He suddenly wished he could see her laugh and smile all the time. That he would be the one to make her smile. Yeah he knew he was acting crazy. Obsessed crazy. He barely knew the object of his affections and he was already acting like a love sick puppy!

"We better get going you have work later right? "

"Uhmm Mrs. Jane wants me to come early. She says she needs help at the Forget Me Nots since one of her employees had a family emergency and then I'm off to the hospital for my afternoon shift."

"How do you manage to still help Mrs. Jane and still go on your nursing duties? You are really something!"

"Hush now! You're making it sound like I'm something ....something...something... "_______ pushed her friend forward and they started jogging away from Kagami.

Kagami was going to start with his jog again, deciding to go to that bakery, when his phone buzzed.

"Hello? Hey Alex, about that Late Late Tinder...yeah that one...it's the only one on TV right? Ok let's do it. Alex, what kind of bread do you like? I'm going to Forget Me Nots you know that bakery you always want me to take you to... "
