[A/n] there will be some rather brutal moments in this chapter so here's a quick warning. enjoy

It was a bleak autumns evening and the sun was only just setting over the large bronze covered hills. a brown haired young man names Luke Evens age of 20 sat alone underneath a freshly bloomed cherry blossom tree his eyes were closed almost as if he was in a meditation like state and fully at peace. that was until something changed. something big had changed in someone he called a friend and saw as a brother.

an black haired figure crept up behind Luke not making a sound a small dagger in hand and a samurai like sword strapped to his back making the softest of noises a sword could make. Fear and hesitation seem to linger in his eyes as he drew closer to Luke thoughts seemingly racing through his mind.

a small snap could be heard from the figures direction making him freeze in place a single drop of sweat slowly rolling down his face as Luke shifted slightly hearing the noise. There was a long silence between the two before finally Luke got up from his sitting place.

"Ah Ryan. Why the stealthy approach my friend?" asked the brown haired male not turning around to face his friend, almost as if he knew. This make the black haired male tremble slightly keeping a firm grip on the dagger noticing the sword propped up agents the cherry blossom tree. Finally turning to face his so called friend he grabs the sword ready to draw his emerald green eyes narrowed slightly seeing the knife as he sighs tightening his grip on the hilt of his blade.

The two males eyed each other down tension filling the air almost heating the air both not taking their eyes off each other. A heavy wind stated to blow around them making their hair flow sideways towards the tree, which petals have started to fall and fly away in the wind like a flock of doves.

Neither of them moved for a couple more seconds until Ryan, growing impatient, lunges forwards lifting the knife above his head and plunging it down towards his old friends forehead but was swiftly guarded by the brown haired warrior with is still sheathed blade before kicking the other warrior in the stomach to gain distance and began to unsheathe his blade getting into a strong samurai like stance his blade directly in front of him. Not wanting to be seen as a pushover Ryan dashes closer to Luke swinging the knife in various different was to throw off his opponent unfortunately for him Luke had always had a keen eye so he was able to keep up with the traitors rather frantic movements and block yet again and knocking the dagger out of his hand refusing to strike back not wanting to hurt the only brotherly figure in his life. However Ryan, with hate filled eyes, simply and swiftly drew his blade and thrusts it into Luke's stomach then swiftly pull it out again resulting in him stumbling back, let out a scream in pain and planting his blade into the ground next to the now bare cherry blossom tree.

Luke now knelt there completely helpless as Ryan walked over picking the knife back up and started to mutilate his left arm, ripping it to shreds then planting it into his left knee earning more screams of pain. "R-Ryan p-p-please stop!" Luke begged however it was pointless since all he got in return was a newly amputated right leg from the thigh down leaking his crimson tears over a few cherry blossoms that had fallen astray from the rest. The knife was now removed from his knee but now attacking his bare face leaving scars on his: nose, forehead, cheeks and one directly through his right eye. "Weakling...to think i called you an equal." was what was muttered from Ryan's emotionless face as he plunged the dagger into the side of his former friends head and used his blade to cut chunks from his chest.

As Luke's almost lifeless body was left there to bleed out he watched his only brotherly figure walk away from his soon to be corpse. He couldn't believe that his own friend would be the one to end his life but life is full of surprises.
