Today is my first day at Cotton Valley High School.

To be honest, I'm pretty nervous.

In my town where I used to live, I knew everyone. It's pretty small here with just over 1,000 people total in the town. But as far as friendships, the only people is the attractive guy and the anorexic blonde that wears too much makeup. But they are more of an acquaintance.

Since I want to make a good impression, dressing up fairly nice would be the best option. After I get out of the shower and blow dry my hair, I use a wand and curl my long dark brown hair, then shake it out and use hairspray to give volume. After my hair was all fixed, I just put on a light powder to settle on my face and some mascara with light eyeliner.

After a long process of thinking in my closet, I decided on some Rock Revivals and a North Face light grey windbreaker. The weather was very fall-like : cloudy and some slight wind occasionally. I was used to the desert type weather where it was in the 80's until mid October. It barely snowed over in Washington State, but here I heard there is tons of snow.

After I was all dressed and ready to go, I headed out into the barn. Kia was napping in her stall with one back leg cocked."Hey pretty girl, wanna eat something?" I quietly asked, trying not to spook her. She slowly opened her eyes and put one ear forwar, noticing that I was headed toward the 5 tons of hay neatly stacked against the wall. There was a half of bale open already, so I took 2 flakes and threw them into her hanging trough that is built in. Since it was a little bit breezy and she hasnt built her winter coat yet, I put her pink light weight blanket on to keep her comfortable. After I opened her stall door to the pasture, I walked back inside to get something to eat.

There was a ton of food available for me to eat, but I just chose a just chose some fruit loops. After I got done eating and scrolling through instagram, I grabbed my purse, backpack, and put on my sparkly white Toms and headed out the door to my truck. I

It was pretty easy finding the school, considering it was just down the road. I pulled in and parked towards the bakck because I wanted to make sure sure I didnt take anyones spot. The school was quite small, but it was kindof cute. My first class was English 3-4 and the teacher is Mrs. Brown. I sat towards the back and played on my phone while people started showing up. One after another, teens about my age gave me a weird look, then sat down in a group. Wow I guess I'm a loner in the corner. Way to make the first impression.

Right before the bell rang, a tall, muscular looking guy walked in. He looked pretty great, to be honest. His hair was dark brown and tousled. He was wearing a white t-shirt and light faded jeans. You could tell he was rushed by the way he was breathing. I didn't notice I was staring until he looked right at me with his dark brown eyes. Wow, he's cute.

He started walking my way. Crap. I hope I look ok! I smiled for a second then looked down anxiously. Everyone was staring. They almost seemed shocked. He came up to me and took a seat.

"Ya new here? " he said in his deep southern accent. "Ya, hi. I'm um Baylor. Ya I'm new." I mumbled, barely making eye contact. "Hi Baylor. Well you're kind of in my seat, do ya mind?" He quickly changed his tone from sweet and cute to rude and demanding. I looked at him to see if he was joking. Nope. He was smirking and the group of people on the other side of the room were giggling and giving me looks. I slowly got up and grabbed my things. The group started making their way around me to sit in that area. I plopped into the front row by my self.

What a jerk. I'm not going to let this happen again.
