The Earth was round. America was a bouncy house. Loki hated bouncy houses. They never listened to him, and people in them never kneeled.

One night, Loki walked through the empty corridors of the palace on Asgard. It was rare that there was no one in the corridors. Guards usually stood by, watching any living creature that would dare enter.

His brother, Thor, was... somewhere. Loki didn't care, as long as he was far away from the palace.

At last. Loki found what he was looking for. The tesseract. Oh, how it shined, how it sat there, just waiting to be taken home.

Wait, that was the problem. It couldn't be taken home. No one could find it, especially not Thor. No, Loki had to put it somewhere else. Somewhere no one would look.

Loki picked up the tesseract, thinking. Where to hide it...

An idea struck him, suddenly. Midgard was the perfect. His brother would never think of going there. Yes, he used to have that girl, and yes, there were the idiot friends of his idiot brother, but maybe... just maybe, it was perfect.

Thor would never imagine Loki would hide something so important in a place so bland and obvious.

Loki smiled, something he did rarely. This plan was genius. He decided that he would leave in the morning. No one would notice his absence. Loki was insignificant compared to Thor: the older, stronger, charming, blond, prince.
