A Sick World

Dear princess celestia.

I regret to inform you that I won't be able to send you any letters for a little while. I found a portal the leads to a whole new world!  I've done my research and I can't since any friendship in this other world.

I'm gonna be going through this portal to see if I can spread friends throughout worlds.  I'll be taking fluttershy with me since she's the kindest pony I know. I'll be safe so don't worry about Me.

Twilight finished writing the existing news and rolling up the scroll “spike!” She called out. Spike stood before her in a saluting manner which caused twilight to giggle “send this to the princess please.” She said handing it to spike who gladly took it

Spike was hesitant “um twilight are you sure you wanna go through with this?” He asked worriedly

“Of course spike!” She said enthusiastically “this may be our only chance to study other life!”

“Can I at least come with you?” Spike begged

“Spike you have to stay and watch fluttershy's animals remember?”

Knock,  knock, knock

Gentle knocks were heard on the door to the library “that must be fluttershy,  spike send the letter” spike did so. Twilight opened the door and saw the shy yellow Pegasus she had been excepting

“Um.. Ready to go? If not that's okay” Fluttershy said,  not wanting to be a bother. Fluttershy carried her settle bags witch twilight assumed that it had some snacks

“I'm ready!”

The two headed deep into the everfree forest.  Leaves crunching as they walked out the dirt path

“So twilight” Fluttershy begin,  breaking the silent “what does this ‘portal’ look like?”

Twilight's horn glowed a purple aura,  she pointed her horn at a think tree “there!”

“.. A.. Tree?” Fluttershy questioned

With a flick of twilight's horn a light purple door appeared “there we go” Twilight wiped the sweat from her brow

“so we just walk in?”

Twilight nodded and they walked in.

On the other side oh the portal was darkness.  Fluttershy eep because of how dark it was

“I can't see a thing” Twilight Exclaimed

“T-twilight.. I'm scared of the dark” Fluttershy squeaked,  shaking.

A pair of footsteps echoed through wherever they had been sent to.  The footsteps stopped shortly after they arrived. But then a voice came “hello!  As anyone in there?” It sounded like someone from appleloosa

without hesitation twilight answered “yes!  In here we can't see and my friend is scared”

“Hold on I got ya” The voice replied.  Sounds of a door knob jiggling echoed “gonna have to break the handle” The voice called again

Crack, crack

Light poured into the room as a door open revealing there savor. But there laws dropped when there savor was one of the creature Lyra talked about.  He wore a tan shirt, a hat that said ‘truckers’ and blue jeans, he held a rusty crowbar
