Pain is a Bitch

Piper: I wake up this morning with the tears and pain from last night dried on my face. I'm still in shock with what happened last night.  I ruined everything I had going for me. Leo and I were perfect together.  I lay in bed for a few more minutes and then I sluggishly get ready for the day. I honestly couldn't care what I look like today so I throw my hair in a messy bun and put on yoga crops and a camp t-shirt. Its my cabin's turn to run cabin examination so that means its my job to do it. I go to the big house to grab the necessary papers and by 6:45 I am knocking on Percy's cabin door. I don't get a response so I just walk in and see its usual mess of clothes on the floor on a scale from 1-10 ten being the best 1 the worse I give him a 3 possibly saving him from extra chores.  Both the Demeter and Athena cabins get eights while the Ares cabin gets a 5. Its 7:25 when I get to the Apollo cabin David is already waiting for me at the door.  "Hey Piper. " he says cheerfully.  ~gods Apollo kids always being such morning people~  I nod just wanting to hide my feelings about Leo that I have been hit with all morning and to just get this job done. As I inspect the cabin I realize just how much I miss Leo everything reminds me of him. I give the Apollo cabin a 9 and as I'm about to leave Vic runs through the front door.  "Vic I thought you were in your room?" Sadie her little sister asks from behind me. "Ahh umm well no I was at Bunker 9 sorry Piper see you later. " she smiles at me giving me space to exit the cabin. I continue to wonder why she was there until I walk into cabin 9 and realize Leo isn't there. ~What a filthy slut~ I scream in my head.  I rush through the rest of the cabins giving them all relatively low scores due to my anger.  I don't bother with changing Apollo's score due to spite so I let them win turning in the papers to Chiron at breakfast.  That is where I run into the one an only Leo Valdez.  The boy who in a matter of twelve hours broke my heart into a million pieces then ripped it out of my chest. "Ugh Valdez get out of my way. " I growl hiding my urge to break down in tears. "Look what the dogs drug in." He sneers not even giving me any empathy. He then walks to his table like nothing happened all happy and Leoy.  This is like a stab to my already broken heart. I quickly eat breakfast but then run into Victoria. "Oh hey Piper who won?" She asks smiling fakely at me.  "Wouldn't you like to know." I spit. "Yeah actually. " she responds sassing me. Thats it I hit her plate and scream "You are such a bitch Apollo scum!" "Really at least I'm not a slut how can you go from best friend to best friend! Who's next Beauty Queen Percy or Frank! " Vic yells back  starting to get in my face.  I'm teaching this see you next Tuesday a lesson. How dare she call me a slut when she has a boyfriend and then goes sleeping with Leo.  "Wow low blow what about you and Nico last night fighting one minute then all over eachother! " I jeer towering over her. . Vic doesn't even speak she just sends a wicked punch at my jaw and that is the last thing I see.
