Iྂn a cold dimly lit room sat two preteens one female one male. They wore clothing that barely covered their bodies, chains that connected their hands to a wall and their feet were shackled together as well.  Both had matted unattended to brown hair and grey eyes that were completely emotionless. The girl was was laying against the wall her body slightly shivering from the cold with her knees propped up held against her body her chained arms holding them close. The male was beside her lost in thought trying to figure out how long there were in the horrid room they were forced to call home. His hands were clenched into fist onto his lap as he legs were laid out in front of him.  He was wondering when their captor would come back and make their lives temporary hell again.  He closed his blank grey eyes as a tear fell from one of them.

A few minutes had past as the two drowned in their sorrow when the door to the room swung open.  The boy's eyes snapped open as the girl hugged her legs closer to her body.  At the doorway were two teenagers both male one was carrying two trays of food and the other was carrying four bottles of water. Upon realizing who had entered the pair relaxed but didn't move.

"You won't be tortured today...." said one of the males.

" Atleast that's what mother said... " finished the other.

The pair of preteens still didn't say anything as the males walked in and placed down the food and water.  Both of the males' eyes held pity and sorrow as they were once in the position the two were in. The older pair of males left the room as quickly as they had come a thud sounding as one of them had slammed the door. Slowly the brunettes took a tray and started eating their meal consisting of chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese. The girl knew one of the older males had fixed this because had their captors made it it would have been oatmeal or cereal.

"I'm sorry for getting us in trouble... " The girl said in a quiet voice picking up her grilled cheese and dipping it into her soup.

"It's OK.. " He replied hiding his emotions for he had gotten them in trouble more times than she had. The boy started to eat his soup leaving the grilled cheese alone for he was lactose intolerant. The two continued to eat silently the girl grabbing her brother's sandwich after he allowed her to and she gave him half of her soup as she didn't care for it. It didn't take long for them to finish as they hadn't eaten in three days. The girl opened a water bottle and started to drink from it the male decided not to so he could save them for later.

Someone knocked on the door three times letting the siblings know it was time to sleep.  They then knocked in a pattern to let the duo know that was their last night in the horrid room. The girl let out a sigh of relief while the boy smiled lightly. Both ecstatic for the next day.
