My grounding went really slow. I wasn't allowed out of the house unless I was going to school. It wouldn't have been so bad except I wanted to go to parties and have a good time.
I kept craving marijuana more and more. I thought that after a while, the feeling would just go away and I would be fine, but it never did. It came back every single day.
The good thing for me was that I could get some at school. Lana knew who to get it from and she hooked me up with more whenever I needed it. I would give her the money and she would give me the marijuana.
Every few nights of the week when I felt like I needed a fix, Lana would sneak over to my house, climb up the tree next to my window, and then we would smoke. Just to be extra careful, we would sit right next to the window and blow the smoke out into the open air. We wanted to be sure that my parents wouldn't smell anything. Neither of us could afford to get into trouble. Especially with drugs.
I knew that if my parents caught us using it in their house, they would call the cops immediately. They made that known to me a few days after I got grounded.
I did get lucky one night. My parents went out for their anniversary and left me at home alone for quite a few hours. They said they trusted me not to do anything stupid. But, once they left, I waited for about 15 minutes then had Lana come pick me up and we went to a party. We did some marijuana and I even tried alcohol for the first time. I wasn't a real big fan of it though. Lana said she had never liked alcohol either. I had her drop me off about an hour before I knew my parents would get home so I could shower and brush my teeth to get the smell off of me. When they got home, I acted like I was asleep and they never even suspected a thing.
My parents told me that I was acting good so they let me off of my grounding a few days early.
The first thing I did was call Lana and ask if there were any parties that we could go to.
Unfortunately, there wasn't so I had Lana come over to my house and we watched some movies and she spent the night.
I was just thankful for my grounding to be done with. I wanted to be free again. Do whatever I wanted without having to sneak around. Go to parties and get high with other people and have fun. And, that's exactly what I did.
