They were inseparable. Wherever Jimin went, Yoongi followed.

"Appa, no."

At age one, Yoongi spoke his first words.

"Eomma, are you okay?"

At age two, Yoongi wiped away his mothers tears.

"But you didn't do anything wrong eomma, why did he get angry?"
"He's had a hard day at work Yoongi-ah, he's just stressed."
"But what does that have to do with you?"
"Try to understand him Yoongi-ah, do it for me."

At age three, Yoongi couldn't understand. He didn't know how painting bruises all over his eomma helped his appa relieve stress.

"Yoongi-ah, do eomma a favour and go play in your room ok?"
"But appa is coming home soon. I want to see him!"
"I know my dear, I'll call you down when he's ready okay?"
"Okay eomma. Yoongi is a good boy so he'll listen to you."

At age four, Yoongi wondered why he couldn't wait for his appa on the porch like all his friends did. Why did his eomma get to see appa first? Yoongi missed the man too!

"Eomma, where's appa?"
"Eomma, why is dinner always just us?"
"Eomma, why does appa come home so late?"
"Eomma, why doesn't appa kiss me goodnight like you do?"

At age five, Yoongi wondered why his appa was different from everyone elses.

"Why didn't appa come to my piano recital?"
"He was busy at work. He would have come if he could."
"But it was a special day for me eomma."
"He's sorry Yoongi-ah. He told me to bring you out for ice-cream as a celebration."
"Okay then."

At age six, Yoongi's heart dropped when the curtains opened but his appa wasn't in the audience. He just wanted to make the man proud. If he could make his appa happy, then maybe he would want to spend more time with Yoongi.

"Eomma, does appa love me?"
"Of course he does Yoongi-ah."
"Then why doesn't he say it?"

At age seven, Yoongi wondered if his appa loved him as much as Yoongi loved the man.

"Eomma, why is he always shouting at you?"
"What do you mean?"
"I know you think I can't hear it because of my music, but I can."
"It's nothing Yoongi-ah, all couples fight."

At age eight, Yoongi was confused. The only person he ever heard shouting was his appa. All his eomma ever did was apologize.

"Eomma, abit more to the left and he could have blinded you!"
"But he didn't. So it's okay."
"It's not okay eomma, he went too far this time."
"Yoongi-ah, just drop it. Please."
"Fine."
