It was a small thing
Barely noticeable
But he noticed

He put her on the H frame lift
He bought something to open her a bit more
And keep her there
He put chains on the place he needed to work
And he lifted it a bit more
He pulled the plug he kept there and used his well lubed fingers in the hole
And felt the spot that was different
He set up the device
It looked like a rough ball on a stick
Attached to the thing to spin it and
push it in and out
He turned it on and as he pushed it in
He heard a high pitched wine
He kept it up for a few minutes
Then removed the ball on a stick
Sticking fingers in the hole
All smooth but the lube is darker so
He cleaned out the hole well
He replaced the rubber on the plug
Lubed it well and slid it in the hole
He put things back to where they started
Then he pushed the button that
He knew would get her start
He could hear her purring
He pressed the spot he knew reved her up
She let out a roar
He lowered her off the H frame
Took the spreader off
Got inside her and burned some rubber
When he got out
He look at the crowd that watched it all
The young men seemed excited
He said “that class is how you rebore a camshaft “
