I woke up in the hospital in daze.

I saw Cassidy sitting in a chair next to me. She was leaning over as she was on her phone. I stare at her for a moment until she leans up and looks at me in complete surprise.

"Dakota?" She pulls her chair towards the bed but hits her knee on the side. "Shit!" She rubs the spot then bends over. "That hurt." I chuckle as I watch her look up at me but then pain shoots through my side and I wince. "How are you feeling?" She asks.

I sigh as I lay there feeling pain. "Hurting." I look at the ceiling for a moment before looking at her. "That's what happens when you get into a car accident."

"Glad to see your sense of humor didn't go to shit. What the hell is wrong with you, Dakota? I told you not to do anything stupid."

I stare at her. "I didn't intentionally get into a wreck."

"Then how did it happen?"

I shut my eyes for a moment and told her everything. I knew she was going to call me an idiot because that's what I was. I was so stupid from what I did, that I blame myself.

"You're an idiot."

I nod as I stare at her. "I know."

"Who the hell takes a drink from a man they don't even know? He drugged that drink, Dakota."

"I know." I stare at her.

She shakes her head. "Now look at you. You're all bloody, beat up, look like shit. Damn."

"Thanks, Cassidy. For coming." I sigh. "I tend to fuck things up a lot lately, so this isn't nothing new."

She runs her hand through her hair. "Dakota, you don't understand that sometimes you have to stop and think before you jump into things. You don't neccessarily fuck things up, you just don't think."

I stare at her as I knew she was right. "I know, Cassidy."

"If you know then why are you always doing it? I care about you, Dakota but I will not hesitate to tell you how much of an idiot you are."

I stare at her before adverting my eyes towards the ceiling. I thought about Emma for a moment before looking back at her. "Do you think it's my fault that Emma told us that we needed a break?"

I watch her for a moment as she's staring at me. "Not really. I think it's both of your faults. If she would have just been a little honest with you instead of hiding something that would peak your curiousity to make you think she was cheating, then you wouldn't have stalked her and everything like that."

I stare at her for a moment as she did have a point. It wasn't just my fault, but both of ours.

"I never thought of it like that."

She smiles. "Do you know why?" I shook my head. "Because you love her and you don't want to blame her for anything. You want to blame yourself to make her look like the perfect woman, which isn't true because nobody is perfect."

"That makes a lot of sense."

She leans back and smiles. "Because it came from my mouth, duh."

I roll my eyes at her. "Thank you, Cassidy."

She gives me a look. "For what?"

"Everything. Being my friend and helping me." I smile.

She stares at me. "No problem. But I think you need to talk to Emma. Or I will."

"About what?"

She shrugs. "To make her understand that this shit isn't one way. It's not just your fucking fault, and if I don't fix it then you're just going to keep doing dumb shit. Obviously you two don't know how to communicate very well."
