Shivaay screamed his heart out. He pulled Anika into a tight hug and wept. He then took Anika in his arms and went to the hospital. She was admitted in the hospital in ICU. Shivaay was sitting numb. His clothes were red because of Anika's blood.
Shivaay- I couldn't protect her. I couldn't. I failed. She is in this condition because of me. Why always she? God knows, she is the only person I have in my life, then why she is always harmed. Why she has to suffer all this. Its only because of me and my enemies. How much I try I cannot save her. I couldn't. Anii.....(cries)
The doctor comes out- Mr.Oberoi.
Shivaay- Doctor, my Anii
Doctor- U had brought her in the correct time. U could have lost her if u were a little bit late. Don't worry she is fine. She will regain her consciousness after sometime.
Shivaay sighs in relief. He goes to the hospital room and saw the condition of Anika. He cried seeing his cheerful Ani looking pale and having bandages. He went to her and caressed her face. He kissed his forehead.
Shivaay- I know this is difficult. But its the best decision for u. U will be safe. I know its painful but I cannot handle this more.
Anika(murmurs)- Shiv...
Shivaay- Anii, u are ok na. Is it paining somewhere. Should I call the doctor. I am sorry I couldn't protect u.
Anika- No shiv, u are the only one who has protected me always. Never say this. I love u so much. Are u hurt?
Shivaay- I am not physically hurt, but emotionally I am. I couldn't protect u. I failed.
Anika- No, please don't say so. I am ok. Nothing happened. Its alright.
Shivaay- Sleep Anika. U need rest.
Anika holds his hand and drifts in deep slumber due to sedatives. Shivaay rubs his tears and goes out. He calls someone and says something(mute). Anika was discharged the next day.
After one week, Anika was completely alright as Shivaay took care of her properly. But she used to see that Shivaay was always lost somewhere. He was sad. Anika thought that this was because of the fear of loosing her and he would get fine soon. One day, Shivaay came to Anika and said-
Shivaay- Anii, u wanted to study PhD na, I have done the needful. U can join after 4 days.
Anika- Really, Shiv u are so good. Thank u. It is in which college.
Shivaay- Boston University.
Anika's smile vanished- What America. U must be joking.
Shivaay- No, I am not. Its about ur dream.
Anika- No, u know my biggest dream is to marry u.
Shivaay- I will fulfil that too.
Anika- How can u say that? Can u live without me? For 3 years. U cry when I go for two days. How will u live when u wont see me for 3 years.
Shivaay- Its ur dream Ani. Understand this. We will communicate through video calling. And I will also go to visit u someday.
Anika( teary eyed)- I cannot live without u.
Shivaay- Understand this Anii. After 3 years we will be together. I promise.
Anika- Why Boston University? I can also join any university here. Why do u want to send me away?
