I lift the People StyleWatch magazine and glare at the articles that I had flipped to. "Fashion Editor Mahogany LOX Pure Thief". These girls would do anything to bring Vogue magazine down, but if I had anything to do with it - which I did - they would have to do much more then giving me bad press.

I toss the magazine aside after ripping some of the pages out. "Well well well what do we have here, our very own Fashion Thief." A man in a plain grey baseball tee and light blue jeans said coming and sitting across from me. "Um, can I help you would something?" I ask taking a drinking out of the coffee. "Oh, how rude of me, I'm Jacob Whitesides." He said shaking my hand.

His hands were much larger then mine and apparently he didn't moisturize at all. "Mahogany, Fashion Editor for Vogue." I say smiling proudly, "I know you're the editor, I was send over by the owner of the magazine. Told that I would be working with you for the next few months on some male fashion." Jacob lifted the People StyleWatch magazine and flipped through the book. "See, we'd be able to do wonders with this Male fashion thing, they don't have it so if we keep it on the down low they won't know a thing." He said triumphantly, "I wouldn't be so sure Mr. Whitesides, there are spies on the inside, how do you know you aren't talking to one right now?" I question raising one of my eyebrows.

"Well I don't but we're going to have to trust each other wont we?" He said reaching over the table and touching my hand. "Mr. Whitesides, I keep my work life and my home life very separate so if you're thinking one thing I wouldn't be, I'm in a very happy relationship. My colleges are my colleges and my friends are my friends. Never will anyone that works for Vogue be my friend. Good day Mr. Whitesides." I say grabbing my purse and leaving the table with the money I owe the waitress sitting under the cup.

Not once did I look back to see his face, or how hurt he probably was by the reaction I had. I wasn't in a relationship, I was married to my job and until I was ready to quit that job I wasn't ready to get into anything serious.

I wait patiently in the cab makes its way through New York, when the cab came to a stop in front of the Office I step out pay him and make my way inside. "Who was planning on telling me that i would have my own personal stalker of the next few months?" I demand when the elevator stops on my floor. All the works just looked at me, they knew I was angry and they knew I would try and pawn him off on someone else.

And nobody was buying it, I would be stuck with this brown haired, brown eyed, beautiful smiled boy for a whole complete month. And personally, I was NOT interested. After trying every person I storm off to my office and look through sketches, "terrible" "too furry" "too sparkly" "too big" "too boring" I say as I cross off ideas, "DO I HAVE TO DO EVERYONES JOB AROUND HERE?!" I demand throwing my arms in the air. "Well if you actually accepted help, you wouldn't have to do it alone" the voice came from the doorway.

"Whitesides, what do you want, I have stuff to do and people to talk to I have no time for you're questions." I reply standing quickly and going into Charlottes office, "Charlotte, can you call the boss and ask him if he can see me quickly?" She just nods and gets right on the phone. "Mahogany, I really think we should give this a chance." Jacob finally says, "how do you know it will work" "how do you know it won't?" He demands putting his stuff on the chair in the corner.

"He'll see you" Charlotte says holding her hand against the phone, "thank you tell him I'll be right up" I say grabbing the sketch book and making my way to the elevator. Jacob Whitesides was not going to be my problem soon enough.
