Two months later

"What am I supposed to do Mom I can't have his baby" curled up on the couch crying. Alicia clenched her knees and looked up at her mother. Sighing and wrapping her arms around her daughter "Well all I do know is that you are going to be a mom, and you are not going to blame this baby for the father."

Sobbing into her mother's arm "mom I can't even go in my house every place in this town plagues me. I feel like I am being strangled by his memories here. I can't be a good mom in that, I hate myself here. I don't want to give up the baby but to have it ...." She looks at her mother " I need to get out of here."

Sitting back and stretching her legs, and rubbing her belly feeling it flip with nausea. "I talked to Sunny, and she said that there is an apartment above her shop. I sent an application to the school district, and she offered to let me help in the store." Looking at the pictures on the the wall. Each picture showing memories of her childhood.

Her mother getting off the sofa and walking to get the phone off the counter in the kitchen. "Alicia I know what your going through I did the same when your father left me. Normally I would say running would never work, but sometimes you just need a fresh start." Dialing a number and walking to look out the back door into the fields behind the house. "Hey John, yea this is Rita. I need to know if you and Darrell will help me move Alicia to California. Don't yell at me... she is my daughter and also a grown ass woman. Ok thank you."

Hanging up and going to the living room. "You better call that hippie aunt of yours and tell her your coming. Also you better make sure to suck up to your uncles." She smiles at her daughter, who for the first time has a shine back in her eyes in two months.
