The Four Enchantresses

Chapter 1

Elena's P.O.V.

I woke up at the bright morning sunlight shining on my face. My first day of my new school at a new town, the day I was dreading ever since I moved here. Back in Maine, where I lived practically my entire life, I didn't have to worry about anything like friends or being the "new kid", because I never moved, not even once. So, for me, moving was impossible, but, well, now it happened to me, thanks to my stepdad(and, yes, I was adopted, but that was when I was very little,so i can't remember anything), I moved to manhattan, and there it is.

I let out a groan as I crawled out of my bed, heading towards the kitchen, where my mom, or, should I say, my stepmom, Sarah was making pancakes for breakfast. That meant that she knew I wasn't in a very good mood, and that she's trying to cheer me up.

"How'd you sleep? Okay, I know you're mad at me for making us move, but you know, it was either this or nothing, so can you please talk to me?", Sarah said as she handed me a plate of pancakes. Although she said that without feelings, I knew that she meant it, so I couldn't exactly say no. I thought for a minute while chewing on my breakfast before i answered.

"Don't worry, Sarah. I'm not mad at you now, so you can breathe. No big deal.", I replied. I gobbled down the rest of the pancakes with a glass of milk, and headed to my bedroom. After I finished cleaning myself up in my bathroom(I have an attached bathroom to my bedroom), I walked up to my closet and picked out my "first day of school outfit". Nothing special, dark blue skinny jeans, a midnight blue tank top, and a sweater with a mix of white and light blue. When I checked out the mirror, my dark brown hair was tangled up into a mess, so I had no choice but to put it in a low pony tail. Not so fashionable, but casual and comfortable. My bright ocean blue eyes were gazing back at me and my thin lips were curled in. I erased that uncertain face and put on my smile. There, that was better. I went outside with my white canvas bag flung onto my shoulders. Today was going to be a long day.

Christina's P.O.V.

I checked the mirror once before I went outside. My straight, mid back length, almost white blond hair were behaving, and my violet eyes were sparkling today. Good, I thought as I stepped outside the door to meet Taylor and Rachel, the other enchantresses of this millennium.

There are four types of supernaturals on the unknown-side where I belong. The shape shifters, the vampires, the humans with spirits within them, with many types, like necromancers, shamans, etc., and last but not least, us spell casters.

I was born a spell caster, but I'm one of the four enchantresses of the millennium. Daughter of Air, and I mean it. A direct blood daughter from the Goddess of Air. Taylor is the Daughter of Earth with her nature loving spirit and dark brown eyes and light brown or dark blonde curly hair, and Rachel is the Daughter of Fire, and you can tell because of her burning red hair and piercing green eyes, which is a reminder of her quick temper. We were all gifted in beauty in our own way, taylor with her loving face and lively eyes, rachel with her attractive yet dangerous look, and me with my airy and mysterious features.

Our mothers, the four goddesses for four powers,

Wondering why there's only three? Thought so. We still haven't been able to find the last enchantress, the Daughter of Water. She is out there somewhere, not knowing who she really is, but the prophecy has come from the spirits. We will find her today, and she will join the full moon gathering as an enchantress.

Taylor's P.O.V.

As Rachel, Christina, and I walked into the school building, we silently preyed to our mothers to send the last enchantress safely. She could only be here, for this is our beginning and an end. Odd enough, our school was located where the Temple of Four Powers used to be, and it is where our mothers were created, or came to the land for I-don't-know-why.

Then, in the middle of the hallway, Rachel stopped, her green eyes flickering. Along with our gifts to control our elemental powers, we also had a gift, which is one for a witch, and Rachel's was being able to find what she want if it is near, in this case, the last enchantress.

Rachel's P.O.V.

I found her. She was here, less than two minutes away from here. I thanked my mother and the Great Goddess as I approached her. There she was. She was as beautiful as the rest of us, but she had a way of being calm yet power radiating from her presence. Her dark brown hair made her pale face stand out even more, and her deep blue eyes were peaceful and tough in the inside.

I called the rest of the girls to come and they were already behind me. They gasped quietly and christina approached to her swiftly. I followed behind and listened to christina explain.her name was elena, and she was new here. Bingo. We found her.
