Mad girl

Chapter 1

I have a secret. It's a big one. It all started when I was twelve.

I started to realize that all of my friends had "boyfriends" but I never had one. My friends tried to "set me up" with boys but I wasn't interested. I had never actually liked anyone from what I knew. So I decided to ask my friend what it was like to like someone. She said "It's like that one person is your whole world."

As the days went by I couldn't stop thinking about what she had said. I then realized I had felt this way once before and I still do....

I had felt this way since fifth grade. I had made a new friend. They had just moved here to the states from England. I spent every day with them. They were may best friend.

Then they started to say odd things. Then they started to hear voices in their head. They resulted in covering their ears at random times. People thought this was odd so they started to make fun of her and call her the Mad Girl. Eventually her parents got worried and sent her to an insane asylum.

As I look back now I realize I had been in love. I, Lucy Reynolds was in love with Joana Thomson, The Mad Girl...
