[MOLLY'S POV]
"SORRY pero may ka-grupo na ako."
I thought by saying that he would leave me alone. But I was wrong.
"I see. Who is it?"
"It's Garnet, he's from the Architecture Department."
"Does Garnet know you?"
"No—I mean yes." Crap. Bakit nadulas ako?
He grinned as if he really caught me. But I still straighten my face, hindi ako pwedeng patalo sa weirdo na 'to. At sino ba siya para pumayag ako na maging kagrupo siya?
"Molly," he leaned forward. "Base sa impression ko sa'yo, ikaw 'yung tipo ng tao na hindi basta-basta kumakausap ng hindi kakilala. You're introverted and you tend to do things on your own. At nadulas ka kanina, Garnet does not know you. That's why my assumption is still correct, that as of this moment you don't have any group mates."
I rolled my eyes and gave in.
"Fine, wala pa akong ka-grupo. But may I tell you something, Chrysoco..."
"Cole, just call me Cole."
"You look confident that I'll join you, huh. Why do you think so?" humalukipkip ako at sumandal sa upuan habang naniningkit ang mga mata ko sa kanya.
"Hmm..." sumandal din siya sa upuan at hinimas ang baba. "Well, because as far as I know you're a writer."
"How did you know that?" gulat kong tanong.
Imbis na sumagot ay nginuso niya ang journal ko sa table, tinakpan ko 'yon ng dalawa kong kamay.
"You—stalker ka ba?"
"No, I'm not. I'm just observant."
"Observant? Ngayon mo lang na-figure out na writer ako?"
"Engk!" he even formed an x with his arms. "Back then we're in the waiting area of the Office of the Student Affairs. I already saw you."
"But I never write on that time," napu-frustrate kong sabi at unti-unti na akong naki-creepy-han sa kanya.
Napahinga siya ng malalim at humalukipkip.
"But you were reading a novel at that time. You are not that type of person who will fail severely so I only thought of one thing."
"A-ano 'yon?" I reluctantly asked.
He leaned again and uttered those words slowly, "Hindi mo talaga gusto ang course mo. Napipilitan ka lang."
And those words hit me like lightning. Because for the first, somebody noticed, somebody saw that I'm suffering in reality.
