Marlon's large desk was in the center of the large space in front of the semi-circle bleachers.

"I look forward to seeing what you all have to offer in the future. Class adjourned." Marlon said properly. Suddenly, a cool and laid back side to him was revealed. "See ya later, fellas!"

Everyone laughed as they began standing up and walking off. I felt my knees get weak as I stood up. I'd like to see you after class, he said. What could he possibly want?

I held my books against my chest as I hopped down the bleachers. By the time I reached the ground, Marlon was sitting at his desk looking at papers. I slowly walked toward him hesitantly, then stood silently in front of his desk.

He looked so good to me, his hair shining from the lights fixated on the high ceiling. His turtleneck fit him perfectly, showing off his muscular arms.

"So, you're not going to ask why I asked you here?" Marlon broke the silence. He looked up at me, his lips parted. He slowly removed his glasses, revealing his face.

"Is there something you wanted to tell me, Mr. Brando?" I asked quietly. He grinned at my demure posture.

"I was impressed by the few words you shared today in class, that's all." He told me with a grin. Then leaned back in his seat, relaxing. "I suspect you're going to be a great student."

"That's an honor, especially coming from you." I exhaled. "I've watched all your films thus far."

"And what do you think?" Marlon asked me.

"Excuse me?" I figured couldn't have possibly heard his question correctly. Why would he ever ask me such a question? I knew nothing.

"What did you think about my performance? Good, okay, horrible to shit?" Marlon asked bluntly as he leaned forward. I shifted my feet as I stood in front of his desk, his eye contact was so direct.

"It was great. I have no complaints." I lied with a smile. Marlon grinned and looked down, then huffed.

"Oh." He disappointingly answered. "What do you do for fun, Victoria?"

"For fun?"

"Must you repeat every question I ask you?" Marlon furrowed his eyebrows as he leaned back in his seat.

I cleared my throat. "I usually go to the movies... and watch people like you."

"Like me?" Marlon teased, mimicking my repetitious way of speaking. I giggled and looked down at my feet. "I'd like to see more of you, Victoria."

More of me? Suddenly my mind was flooded with images of Marlon having me vulnerable and naked all for him. I'd hold onto him as he'd take control—

"I want to know more about how you think." Marlon rose a brow. "How about you and I head to the movies? We can talk over the film and exchange ideas."

"That sounds like it would be great, Mr. Brando." I smiled. I knew that faculty and students were not permitted to be mingling like we were, but I was willing to take the chance for Marlon.

Besides, I didn't speak to many people to begin with. I was one of the only colored girls in my class, many people kept me out of the loop. It would get lonely even in that small, compacted New York City building.

"How about The Roxy at six?" Marlon asked me. I smiled with a nod. "Alright, see you then."

I walked off to my small apartment not too far from the New Institute campus building. The wallpaper was peeling and it was all one room besides my bathroom, but it worked for what I made.
