Catalina. She's beautiful. She's smart. She's funny, endearing, sensual, stunning. She's perfect. I want her to be mine. Only mine.
I scribble the expressive words in my sketch pad with a black pen. She is the only thing I can think about. The way her smooth voice speaks my name. Her laugh resembles church bells. Grabbing a red pen, I start to draw little hearts around the words.
A smile crawls onto my chewed lips. Just thinking of my dearest makes me happy. I've only entrusted one with my feelings, my darling friend Thomas. He first introduced us, almost as if he knew we would hit it off. He says it's cute how I swoon over her. I can't help it.
I look up from my doodle and recognize my surroundings. I'm in my dark bedroom, under warm covers. Moonlight peers in through two windows facing a lonely street. Leaning on a mountain of pillows and a few stuffed animals, I look at the time; 2:45 am. There is school tomorrow, so I put my stuff on my nightstand and drift into a comfortable rest.
