13. Boy or girl...s?

Peso's Pov

    I held my breath as I slowly opened the letter as Barnacles held my farthest hip.

I opened it after holding it and slowly opened it and I gasped grabbing everyone's attention again "It's a girl!" I said with tears in my eyes I could hear everyone cheer as Barnacles pulled me into his embrace hugging me and I hugged back smiling.

After calming down a bit I was laying down and all I could do was stare at the paper but felt someone put a hand on my shoulder making me flinch, I look back to see Barnacles smiling softly at me "Are you alright?" he asked sitting next to me and ran a hand through my hair making me hum "Ya it's just...hitting me that this is actually happening" I smiled and he nodded "I know how you feel I never knew I would even be a father if I'm being honest" he chuckled and I giggled, after a small bit of silence he put his hand over my big belly "Can I?" he asked and I nodded "Course you can, you put her there anyway" I said making him laugh before rubbing my stomach.

After a bit he eventually was in between my thighs with his cheek carefully on my belly with his arms around my hips, my hands going through his hair everything was calm until a sudden thump could be felt making Barnacles head shoot up where his cheek was previously and I sat up slightly.

We were both silent until he said "Did..did she just?" he asked looking up at me but I just nodded my head while holing the spot with tears in my eyes and a hand over my mouth giggling.

C. Barnacles Pov

    I stared up at Peso as he excitedly rubbed where the baby was kicking I smiles also very happy everything seems to be happening quickly but I don't mind I'm excited aswell, I lower my head and kissed his belly making him giggle then I raise my body and then kissed him and he kissed back putting his arms around my neck "If I keep getting bigger I'm not gonna be able to get out of bed" he somewhat joked and I chuckled getting off of him.

After a bit of silence he suddenly said "I know a name" I looked up from his belly back to him "Oh? What?" I asked but he shook his head "It's a surprise~" he said in a teasing way and ruffled my hair "Hmp" I said looking away "Don't worry you'll like it" he then yawned "I'm guessing you're getting tired" I said kissing his head "I'm gonna be at HQ if you need me" he nodded and I left.

Peso's Pov

    After he left I rubbed my belly as I slowly fell asleep "You'll..you'll be worth it" I smiled and hugged my belly before falling asleep.
