sunset 🌅

Feel the gentle breeze ever so slowly pass you by.

Hear the waves softly clash together as one.

See the waters move with elegance, out the distance with content filled aura.

Inhale the saltiness of the sand dust, the summer memories fill it's way towards your nostril.

Exhale to the beautiful sight that stands before you.

Take in the view of speechless beauty, a beauty unique of its own.

The sunset displayed full view, showcasing the illuminated colours, hanging in the foggy evening clouds.

In the distance of the pink tinted sky soars the wings of two birds flying towards the unknown, with no location to be located, no destination to be set.

"Isn't it beautiful my love"

"It is"

"One thing for sure, is it's the second most beautiful thing"

"Really?, What's the first?"

As he gazes towards me, with those chocolate brown eyes, that I fell in love with 40 years ago

"You my love" he whispers his voice slightly breaking to the word 'love'

"I love you"she whispers, turning to nuzzle her small delicate head in my neck.

Holding her tightly as she was the anchor keeping my boat afloat.

"I love you to my love. Now rest my love, I'll see you real soon" He whisper in her ear, his smile portrayed the emotions of which he buried deep in his soul.

As she smiles, showcasing the wrinkles of old age, the once brown hair that fully gone grey, resting her droopy eyelids, covering her deep blue ocean eyes, the eyes of which held of love and compassion

"I love you" she whispers softly

As the sunset goes down, she finally found her inner peace. As she lays with her back leaned against his chest, her head in his neck, his arms around her waist

The feeling of contentment washes over, helping heal the heaviness of his fragile heart.

As he gazes towards the sunset with a calm posture, an emotional smile warily painted upon his creased wrinkled face fully displayed

"The sunset" he whispers.
