Jessi is the meanest girl I know. She's rude, snotty, catty, bitchy, back stabbing and will talk horribly about you behind your back. And any girl that even looks her boyfriend Johnny's way is in her line of fire.

I met her 5 days ago, and although she hasn't done or said anything about me yet, doesn't mean she won't in the future. I'm trying to fly under the radar. So far so good. It's mid May, so we'll be getting out for the summer soon. Thank goodness. A whole summer of not having to be around her. That eliminates me from 3 months of potential agony.

A few weeks went by and it's now June. A big group of friends are going to stay in this big lodge in the mountains in the western part of the state. It's dry for the most part, almost like a desert except for a big lake that the lodge is on. I'm with my 2 best friends Jennie and Megan. Jennie's boyfriend David is there too so she went off with him and now it's just me and Megan in our room.

"So I just saw Jessi and Johnny in the lobby, so make sure under ANY circumstances you do not cross paths with Johnny." Megan stressed to me.

"Oh trust me I won't!" I said.

"It sucks though, because oh my god....Johnny is so sexy." Megan gushed.

"He really is. I just want to stare at him but I don't wanna get caught be Jessi." I said.

"And it wouldn't even matter if they broke up because the first girl that gets with him will be her victim." Megan said.

I sighed. "What a shame. It doesn't even seem like she's good to him. But he makes her happy I guess. I wouldn't make him deal with that if he was mine."

"Don't say that too loud! She might hear you." She joked.

That night the 12 of us all met up in the lobby of the lodge to make dinner plans.

A guy Justin suggested Applebee's, and a girl Kennedy suggested Golden Corral.

"Ummm, I want sushi!" Jessi yelled over everyone, but they didn't listen. "Johnny, tell him I want sushi." She complained.

"But Jessi not everyone likes sushi." Johnny said.

"Umm, I do! So they can all go eat at their icky restaurant choices and you can take me to eat sushi." She demanded.

"What's wrong with buffet food?" He laughed.

"Johnny other people touch it! It's icky!"

"And eating raw fish isn't?" He smirked. I was lowkey listening to the whole thing.

"Johnny why have you been such a dick to me lately?? You've been so rude with your snide comments. What have I done to you?" She asked, cluelessly.

"Nothing, princess." He smiled at her and kissed her forehead. I wanted to puke. He's too good for that thing. But she thinks she's better than everyone else.

David and Jennie wanted sushi also, so Megan and I went with them, but stayed out of Jessi's sight. Johnny saw us though. He smiled at me. It gave me instant butterflies but I looked away quickly because I didn't want Jessi to cause a scene. She's so high maintenance.

We sat at a table that was across the restaurant from them. But I could still see Johnny. I couldn't see Jessi though, so maybe that means she couldn't see me either. We kept catching each other's eye. I tried to shake it off for mine and Johnny's sake but it was obvious we had a connection.

"Oh great" I thought. Of course I fall for the guy I'll never have in a million years.

We finished eating and got in the car to go back to the lodge. At around 2:30 am I was hungry again so I went to the snack machine in the lounge part of our floor when I walked in on Johnny sitting in one of the chairs, half asleep. I tried to quietly get my bag of chips so maybe he wouldn't notice. He did.
