Introduction;

A condition is a circumstance that affects the functioning or existence of something or someone. Once you start feeling uncomfortable, either in your body or that surrounding, you will know that you are not in the right condition. As humans, it is natural for us to be comfortable or uncomfortable in any place or condition we are, that is why we tend to search for remedies. Some of us end up making wrong decisions, and others make really proud decisions.

Optimism is the hopefulness and confidence about the future or success of something. Even if the tunnel is dark, there is still light at the end; you just need to see that light and go for it. No matter how hard the situation is, you still need to be optimistic. Actually, optimism increases your morale and zeal to work and live on with your life.  How about you try to rely on the aspect that all is going to be well’’. It works!!!

You will understand why you need to be optimistic in that condition that you are in. Life is indeed not easy, that is not the mere reason for you to give up in any case. God never gave up on you; do not give up on yourself. If God never gave up on you, even before you were born, why should you give up on yourself now?

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…”Jeremiah 1:5

God wants us to have a hope for our lives. See the bright side of life and you will never be ashamed. Be OPTIMISTIC in THAT‘CONDITION’ you are in…

When I reflect over my life and recall how good God has been, I am still here by His grace, I cannot help but to write it down. This is not just a story to be read; but an adventure not to be forgotten by the current generation and the generations to come.

So I ask, Does this generation tolerate or embrace me?”

The Generations’ Take

I wonder what the past generations thought about what we go through today. Would they have embraced or tolerated me? How would I have been treated? Would I be abandoned, separated from others or even eliminated? What really used to happen, to the affected and afflicted in those days? These are the kind of questions that most of us want answers for. They are even asked today! Does this generation embrace or tolerate me? What are my experiences today; with friends, family and even mates? The generations’ take. The current generation differs a lot from the past generation. Many things have changed and many are still changing. New developments have come up. And the world is changing at the top speed.

In the past, the affected ones were not treated the same way as today. Some were separated from the rest of the community; and even left alone, unattended. I heard a story of Iddi Amin where he eliminated all physically handicapped people from his country. I heard that he used to lie to them that he is going to give them a better life. The disabled fellows innocently and unknowingly followed him. Little did they know that he was going to dumb them in the ocean. I really do not know the rest of the story. This was probably done in order to ‘clean up’. No is chaff in the wheat. I imagine a situation where one eliminates another just because he or she feels disgusted about. The elimination I am talking about is the scenario where someone stays away from you because they found out that you are suffering from a terminal disease or any other kind of condition. They either stay away from you or want you to stay away from them. This is what could happen during the recent generations.

Some communities in the past generations would take the infected to the forest and leave them there unattended. They did this thinking that those people were a burden to the community. They left them there for the wild animals to feed on them. Now, this is the cruelest act humans can do. Some communities in Kenya neglect them without caution. They leave them in desperate moments and some even make their lives so hard; as if leaving them is not enough. This is a lesson for us to learn; that we have an obligation to take care of those in need of our attention. I do not know the kind of generation you are in right now; old or young.
