The same day (Y/N) wrote her last reply to Taehyung.

The time was 7:38 am, the sun was barely visible in the thick, cloud bearing sky. Sleep had no effect on (Y/N), and she had been awake ever since she wrote the letter.

The house was creeping with silence, and with her being the only one awake in her neighbourhood she inserted the tape of Tae's voice into a recorder and listened closely to the soft tone of his words. Her head laid upon the varnished wooden desk, her heartbeat matching the pace of his voice.

It was calming and soft, deep but soothing. His voice made her want to run through the city and find him once and for all.

She brought out her small purple keychain, one she had come about when she went fishing with her brother in Daegu. Making her way to the pavilion in the park she skipped along a cobblestone path within a small forest. Her candles and lights were kept safe in the park ranger's shed, and so she began to set her things up one by one for tonight.

The same exact thoughts circulated through her mind that morning. She remembered Tae's face, his journey and his personality. A smile grew upon her flushed face, her pink, glossy tinted lips reflected the emerging sunlight.

Suddenly, when she was out to buy a packet of gumdrops from the vending machine near the park entrance, her embroidered purple keychain accidentally snapped off from her bag due to the heavy breeze. She bend down to pick it up, however the job was made slightly harder as the wind began to gain strength.

Much to her surprise the keychain started to glow furiously, almost as if it was a radioactive fabric. Confusion was brought upon (Y/N) as she continued to chase after the blown away keychain. Her head collided with a hard chest, and as she looked up with strands of hair scattered on her forehead her breathing stopped.

Time came to a sharp halt.

Their eyes were locked, a tense atmosphere appeared around them. (Y/N)'s gaze widened immensely the second she recognised the familiar face. Everything came into shape; his deep brown eyes, clear nose, boxy blushed smile and dusty hair. Only this time it was dyed pink.

"Taehyung?" She finally managed to splutter out.

He said nothing except for bending down and picking up the keychain. He fixated his eyes at the violet glow, a sparkle was seen from his iris. He took out his toy monkey from his bag, and that too had a purple ribbon that glowed just like (Y/N)'s.

"So it's you," he replied back, his face softened by the girl standing in front of him.

"I-I guess so. You took him everywhere with you?"

"Yeah. I mean, it's been years since I last wrote about..." he trailed off, looking down at his feet. "He has no name yet."

"No name? Okay then come with me, I wanna show you something," she said and let him trail behind her through the park.

The two arrived at the decorated pavilion beside a small pond. Birds and squirrels were present around the trees, and kids were running around with paper lanterns in their hands.

After a few minutes Taehyung decided to start a conversation, "I still haven't caught your name yet."

"(Y/N). Lee (Y/N). It's relieving to know that we've met at last Taehyung. I was waiting for a while, and going in and out of libraries with little bits of information just happened to land us here."

"I'm beyond happy. My father is married now, and since the day he met her I couldn't help but constantly think about my other end of the string. Funny enough, it's taken me years and I'm 22 now."
