The Debate

Everyone walked into the Circle Room and we found that there were our pictures on these podiums.  We all sat at our podiums.  There was a drumroll in a far distance which led the principal to come up and sit in a medieval kind of a seat.  

Principal: Okay listen up! Welcome to the Circle Room, this is the room we all will be in whenever there is a murder and we get to figure out who did it.  

Reminder, I know who did it and I will not tell you, because that defeats the purpose of the game.  Also note that if you're wrong, everyone gets to die, and if you're right.  Only the murderer dies.  Of course you have to prove your statements.  Shall the finger pointing begin?

Jasper: I say its Carmen.  I was investigating Cameron's dead body and found some stab wounds, the stab wounds came from a sharp kitchen knife.  It was clearly missing this morning.  I also found blood in Carmen's room.

Me: I can vouch for that. I was searching in his room as well and I found a torn shirt with blood stains that were very fresh.  From 8:00pm last night to 6:00 am this morning the blood was not dried out.

Sanchez: I can agree with these statements because I found the weapon.  It was hidden inside the oven this morning.  He tried to hide the evidence but failed to succeed.  

Carmen: You're all lying!  Its obviously a set up!

Me:  A set up? Jasper can you tell the rest of us what you figure?

Jasper: Gladly.  Cameron wasn't just attacked, he tried to defend himself as well.  I take it he used a crowbar to fight back.  Of course Carmen would have to have some sort of fresh wound from that 11 hour time span.  But of course, you would have clean the wound so it isn't infected.

Sugar: And that's where I come in! This morning I found some of he nurse supplies missing.  Those haven't gotten restocked because they don't get restocked unless the murderer is dead.  The Principal told me herself when I was questioning things.

Carmen: You wouldn't know a damn thing! 

Sanchez: Surely we do because you're starting to freak out.  That has to mean something.  Me and June found some evidence that cannot be ignored as well.  Jasper, Derrick when me and June were searching around.  I found a note from Carmen stating to meet him at the courts.  We both went there and found blood on the pillars.

Raina: I can also vouch for it.  I saw Carmen go to the kitchen last night at 7:40 pm.  He said he was going to get something to eat and drink but by the time he left, there was a knife missing from the rack. 

Donnie: I think I can conjure up how this whole crime scene went down.  Carmen invited Cameron to the courts, making him think that they were going to have fun all night,  and brought the knife with him to attack, but Cameron had found a crowbar to attack Carmen.  But the attack on Carmen didn't affect him too much since he was able to stab Cameron to death.  

Carmen: Hey I didn't even stab him 6 times. And he didn't even attack me on my side. So I don't know what you're talking about.

Me: Wait just a minute there Carmen, you just scheduled your own funeral!

Jasper: Derrick, I assume you caught the same thing?

Me:  Yeah I did.  We mentioned that he was stabbed and you were attacked, but we never specified how many times he was stabbed and where you got attacked.  You should of kept your mouth shut Carmen because now its over.

Carmen: Uh...I-I..um..

Principal: Well Well Well.  Everyone's certain that its you, Carmen.  Is there anything you'd like to say?

Carmen: ... ... ... 

Principal: Very well.  Everyone, you are.....Correct.  Carmen killed Cameron.  Congratulations, you all get to live to see another day as for Carmen, you get executed. 

The principal didn't hesitate to kill him in front of us, She had ripped him apart inside this machine that she had ready for whoever was going to die.  If we didn't pull this whole thing off then we all would've been dead.

  I'm glad that we were right, I didn't want to accidentally murder everyone.  I'm glad Jasper stuck by my side for this too, she was a big help with her detective skills.  But this whole thing doesn't help anyone survive the night.  We don't know what's going to happen next.  I surely don't want to find out.

Sanchez: Well there's 12 of us left already.  Who knows when the next murder is going to occur, I really don't want to stick around for it but if it means staying alive then I'll keep my mouth shut because I don't know if that principal can hear us or not.  

Me: Yeah, I noticed, there's camera's everywhere.  That's how she knows who the killer is, I don't think anyone noticed, but there's cameras in our rooms too.  She's watching our every move-

Principal: I can see everything, and I can't hear anything on those cameras so you're free to say whatever as long as I'm nowhere near you.  Have a goodnight Boys, and good luck through the night, and don't hesitate to get any kind of snack or drink before going to bed.  You can take as many snacks and drinks as you please as the fridge and freezer gets restored very often.  Just leave something for the others.  

By the time we looked over to her, she was already gone.  I'm a little creeped out by her raspy voice, it questions me to wonder why its like that.  There could be multiple reasons for it but I'm guessing she used to be in this kind of College.  A while ago, and formed her own.

Me: I'm going to go to bed, hopefully nobody gets injured or killed during the night.  Or stupid enough to fall for those little "Invitation slips".  Goodnight Sanchez.

Sanchez: Goodnight Derrick. Don't forget to stay up until the door locks.  That could be another way to die.  I'd keep some kind of defense with you in case someone breaks in. Just don't kill them if you want to survive.  Maybe break a bone.  She never said anything about deaths by broken bones.  I'm guessing its allowed.

Me: Got it.

We both went to our rooms and waited for the door to automatically lock and by the time the door locked, there was an announcement.  

Principal: Before all of you go to sleep, Let me tell you this.  You are now allowed to go onto the second and third floor of the school.  New areas, means new investigations to come later in the future.  Have a good night.
