It's nearing the end of 2006 in Ohio, Andy Biersack created the first original Black Veil Brides with Johnny Harold, Nate Shipp, Mike Stamped, Chris Riesenberg, Kevin Harris and Phil Cenedella.
They've had a few small gigs in some local clubs but nothing that gets them known outside of the small city they're from. But that was all about to change for them.Andy's P.O.V
The bell rang for the end of class and immediately a ruckus of footsteps and dragging around of school bags began to fill the air as everyone started to leave the class room for lunch break. I followed suit and walked with a plain face and a slow shuffle behind the crowd toward the cafeteria. It was only when I reached the lunch room that my face began to soften with an excitable smirk plastered on my face as I started creating a new path, straying away from the parade of other students as I passed groups at their tables, hopping over empty benches and strutting to my own table where I met the band and the greatest friend I'd ever had.
"Andy get here quick!" Johnny called over from our table, a grin stuck to his face too.
We were putting together a few music videos for some songs we had written and were trying to get noticed by a bigger club that would get us noticed better then this deadbeat town could.
"Hey guys, what are we working on?" I asked as I drew nearer to the table and threw my bag beneath it as I sat down.
"Heather is the coolest person here!" Kevin stated, wrapping his arms quickly around her, squeezing her into a tight hug.
Heather was the only girl any one of us knew who knew who the Sex Pistols and the Misfits were. Nate and I have known her since elementary school and she was basically our hero from the very start.
"We knew that already, how is this new?" I laughed, lightly punching her in the arm with smiles on both of our faces.
"She's only gone and fucking got us noticed by Standby Records!" Mike grinned, slamming his hand down on the table.
"Hold on, are you serious? Are you fucking kidding me?!" I was stunned, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, a record label noticed us? I looked toward her scanning her eyes for some form of deceit but came back short when there was nothing but honesty lurking behind those green orbs of hers.
"I sent the videos from the last couple of shows out to their company a few days ago and this morning, I got a reply back that said they were interested and wanted to see you guys perform!" She explained, her cheeks turning a rosey shade as she sunk back into Kevin's shoulder, smiling sweetly as she did so.
It took me a few seconds to comprehend just how much she had changed our lives in that very moment, how it was all going to go up from there and just how huge this really was.
I launched forward and pulled her into my arms, standing from my seat and picking her up, spinning her round like a rag doll.
"Heather you are incredible, I can't believe you- thank you so fucking much Heather!" I yelled as I twirled for just a short while before placing her back down on her feet.
"It's nothing." She giggled.
"No Heather, this is huge! Thankyou, thank you so much! How do I make this up to you, I owe you huge!" I smiled, embracing her in another tight bear hug.
"I'll let you know when i think of something." She giggled lightly again.
For the rest of that lunch we started talking about set lists and other important details, continuing the conversation well into our last two periods before band practice at my place.
