Dom walked up to the school gates, bag in his shaking hand. He was nervous to walk in, he had never changed schools before, he had never moved to a different city before. A wave of courage hit him and he took his first step on to the premises.
He managed to find his tutor group. He had seen the whole 'this is our new student' speech but had never been the one actually stood at the front.
"So, who will volunteer to look after Dom?" The form tutor said those dreaded words
Surprisingly to Dom, three people at the back of the room put their hand up. Dom walked over and sat on their row.
"Hey I'm Dom" he smiled
"I'm Zosia. Nice to meet you" She was the only girl in the group, she gave off a fierce but caring atmosphere to Dom
"I'm Arthur" the boy who was sat next to Dom said. He seemed intelligent but shy
"I'm Ollie" the last boy said, "what brings you to Holby?"
"My dad has a new job" Dom explained
"Where does he work?" Arthur asked
"Some engineering place, I'm not too sure" Dom laughed
"Cool. My dad works at the hospital. I want to be a doctor someday too" Zosia said
"Impressive" Dom raises both eyebrows dramatically
"Do you have a girlfriend?" Zosia asked
"Why? Are you hitting on me?" Dom joked
"No I'm dating Ollie" she laughed
"No offence Zosia but you aren't my type anyway" Dom smirked
"What us 'your type'?" Ollie questioned
"Boys" Dom said proudly
"Watch out for the gangs around here Dom. They will pick on everything not deemed as well, them. If you get me" Arthur stuttered and mumbled a bit
"I'm not scared. I'm very open about my sexuality. If I can get past my dad I can do anything" Dom said
"Fair play" Ollie smiled
"Anyway, we have your back. If anything does happen." Zosia put a supporting hand on Dom's shoulder
