POV: Ethan
I'm not sure how long our eyes met, a second, three, or four. She looked down at me like a child watches ants. So high I could barely make her thin pale face out. I don't know her and she doesn't know me but we shared that moment. That small moment that could last forever.
I only looked away as she did. Life is a beauty that some don't full to the fullest. Some don't do in 50 years what others do in 10. I didn't look to see her but I did. And she saw me.
My mother saw her too a girl in the window. I wonder if anyone else noticed her looking down at us.
