Yvonne stared longingly out the window, remembering the days when a beautiful blonde haired girl named Rose Buckingham used to sit in front of her. Not only was the girl beautiful, but regal as well; she really lived up to her name. Yvonne was ensnared by Rose's elegance the moment she heard her name.
It's not that she wouldn't, but truth be told Yvonne couldn't remember what she had for breakfast let alone someone she met in junior high not that she would admit it.
Her parents dropped her the moment she was born. They skipped going home to drop the baby and did it the moment the doctor cut the umbilical, or at least that what Yvonne want everyone else to think. Yvonne became infamous in whatever boarding school she wound up in after she told that story how could she not? It was the perfect lie.
Since her infancy, Yvonne's life was a revolving door of nannies up until her sixth birthday. When Yvonne turned six her parents decided it was acceptable to start sending their daughter to a private school across town. From then on Yvonne became the master of the train station. Apparently, private schooling didn't give her parents enough space between them and their daughter, they just had to send her off to a boarding school abroad. That is until something happened and she was disgracefully sent back home.

She can still remember how disappointed her parents were when she had to tell them over the phone all the way from
"What was it this time?" one of them asked.

Yvonne calmed up she couldn't exactly tell her parents how their little dyke got run out of school by the ever-present negative energy that followed her around where ever she landed.

With her fists clenched she gave her parents the answer the answer she thought they wanted . . .

The answer was always the same with Yvonne but somehow they believed her just so they could sweep it under the rug with the rest of her academic failures and ship her off to the next school in less than a week.
Needless to say, middle school memories faded into the background leaving behind a foggy purple haze. High school was a different story. Those years seemed to stick out the most. That was when she first started noticing Rose.
Truth be told, Yvonne couldn't remember the first time she heard the unfamiliar clacking of her high heels but after middle school, Rose became omnipresent in the halls of Danby Academy.
