Akane POV
I walked in the lead, heading to my hidden hideout. We walked towards a mountain, close to Mount Habaki, and I lead them up a trail that had been created by many footprints. It was obscured by bushes and fallen rocks and sloped high into the valley.
"Akane-née san, where are you taking us? There's nothing here!" Inuyasha questioned
I looked back it him, smirked and answered back "Who said so?" as my hand reached forward and opened up an ivy wound around one of the rocks to reveal the cave entrance. We all walked in, one after the other, before I closed the entrance back up and put on a seal to prevent others from entering.
We were immediately engulfed in chilling blackness. The absence of light meant the absence of its warming touch. I heard Kagome scoot closer to Inuyasha, as Miroku did to Sango. 'Okay, I should light up a fire' I thought. Just as I had rested my arm on the hilt of Ketsueki, I heard a loud SLAP!! Getting me on guard "What was that?? Is everyone okay?"
Shippō took it to himself to answer my question as he hopped on my shoulder. "Oh nothing to worry about, that's just Miroku. We can keep going née-san". Deciding to trust the little kitsune, I unsheathed my partner. "Crimson beyond blood, by the contract we pledge, burn my enemies before me by the power you possess! KETSUEKI!"
As I transform into my other fiery side, to make a fireball. Multiple fireballs float to the front of us, making the tunnel visible to human eye.
We walked further more, before I see the sign of the end, excited to see my place again, I looked back towards the tired group and notified them " Come on, you all, we're almost there!" . Followed my sounds of relief and approval e started running to the bright light. As the light subsided, the pack opened their eyes to a beautiful meadow.
The meadow was a riot of color. The burnt orange Butterflyweed stood tall amongst the grasses and the prairie Black-eyed Susans appeared to reflect the brilliant yellow of the sun herself. The Prairie Blazingstar stood like tall purple bushy cat-tails. Near the edges of the lazy river, glistening in the sunlight, grew the blue-violet Wild Irises, tall and proud. It was a place I could go and destress and relax until the light drained from the sky.
On top of the meadow was a cottage. The cottage looked as if it was straight out of a fairytale with a happy ending or a picture book for little kids, it looked like many things. It was rusty, old and dusty, but rather welcoming. The whole house was made of dark red bricks. I pushed them towards my old, quaint cottage. We approached the hedges and vines that grew and reached a green gate with the paint falling off was the door to the property. Then came a narrow dirt lathe with a small pebble, a tiny pond with lily pads and a few ducks, maybe a frog or two. Who knows? I haven't been here for awhile.
A two meter hedge surrounded the property. Vine grew up the archway and the arched wooden door with brown planks. The grass was green and yellow, scorched by the hot blazing sun in the summer. Two huge trees, one with red and orange leaves. One of the trees were hollow, remembering what family lived there, I noted to myself to come visit them tomorrow.
I reached out towards the door and murmured an incantation to open the door "Aperta".
Looking towards the others, I apologized " I'm so sorry it's old and dusty. I haven't been here awhile as you might have guessed." Kagome assured me that it was fine and that I probably had circumstances and reasons why. Nodding in approval at the mate my kid brother chose, I welcomed them. "Please, don't keep standing there, come on in, make yourselves at home."
The moment you walk in you can see the kitchen in the corner with all sorts of herbs, jars, and utensils. A little circular table sat in the middle with two small wooden chairs. I looked at Inuyasha "Inuyasha, I think you can probably find some old pictures here of our family if you want to go look around" he pondered for a moment before nodding and stalked off.
"Ne ne, Akane née-San, can me and Miroku go and get some sleep? I'm sleeppyyy" Shippō questioned. "If it's not too much I would also request this Lady Akane." Miroku bowed. I waved them off " Of course, you can find an empty bedroom upstairs." They both then left as well.
"Well I guess we girls can make some chocolate then" I smiled at the girls, "YESSS GIRLS NIGHT" Kagome squealed as Sango just nodded in satisfaction

Hiii, a little author's note here, I hope I was descriptive enough that you guys can imagine what her hideout looks like. This place is more than meets the eye too! What will Inuyasha find here? What family lived in the hollowed tree? Well we'll all find out soon! Next chapter we'll see the girls having some fun and maybe find out more about Akane.🤩💞
