I jumped back in surprise and ran into Lucius and Vera. They turned around and saw the boy and to my horror smiled at him. "Hey Kain, how are you?" Vera asked the boy walking up to him and hugging him.

I walked over to Caspian and whispered to him "That was the boy in my room last night. I swear." I was nervous.

"Lexa it couldn't have been him he was out on a mission to scout the vampire side of the holy river. So Kain couldn't have been in your room." Caspian said with certainty.

"I recognize his face and his voice." "But it was dark in your room how could you see him?" Caspian asked. " Why don't you believe me Cas. I thought you loved me enough to trust me ." I was mad the fact that he didn't trust me.

"of course I trust you Lexa, but he couldn't have been in your room. He was miles away" Caspian said.

I was so done with this conversation and so I turned around and walked slowly towards my room. I entered the big and spacious room and closed the door behind me and I looked towards the window and jumped back in surprise.

Kain was sitting on the window seat and was starring at me with his piercing green eyes.

"I thought that you would recognize me and I was right. But I did wipe your memory so the fact that you can remember me is quite amazing." Kain said with a whisper of a smile. "You did what!" I almost yelled.

"Like I said I wiped your memories," Kain said so calmly that it made me madder. "I don't have any memories of before Caspian saved me so you think that you can take the only memories that I have away from me without my permission!" I was really angry with him.

"But your memories aren't gone. I somehow failed to remove them or you regained them."

"so what does that mean?" I said my anger subsiding."Well, that is what we need to figure out."Kain said, "Wait why 'we' don't you mean you?"I said all the while confused.

"Well do you remember what I said before you fell asleep?" Kain was still staring at me with his bright green eyes.

"Yeah, you said that we will meet again..." then the word hit."You called me, sister. That is why we have to work together because we are siblings." My mind was reeling at this realization. Kain was smiling at me, it was a warm smile and it was very friendly as well. "Lex you can't tell anyone that we are siblings." Kain was now serious.

"Don't worry, I won't." I looked at him and said, "I won't Kain" He smiled  at the fact that I said his name. "So Lexa when do you want to start figuring out why you don't have any memories?" "As soon as we can."I said while I walked over to him and sat by his side. I was trying to get comfortable with the fact that Kain was my brother.

"Kain?" I said as I rested my head on his shoulder "Yes Lexa," He said putting his arm around my back. "Are we twins or are you older than me" I asked with curiosity. He was rubbing my back gently . "We are twins but I'm the older twin, by like five minutes." Kain said with a sense of superiority.

" How do you know that?" I was a bit confused with his knowledge of who was older. "Well I found out about three weeks ago that my parents aren't my real parents." he sounded a little sad and angry. "I was shown the adoption forms and the real birth records." I yawned. "They told me that, they wanted to adopt you but the doctor said that you had died after your birth." Kain sounded so heartbroken that it shattered my heart.

had "but I'm not dead." I said that with a note of desperation. "I know that know. I got a letter from Caspian in which he told me that they had found a girl in the woods by the holy river. which was you,  and then the letter also said that the girl had killed two vampires, and that she was bitten and didn't even turn." He sounded so proud of me and my accomplishments. "I was curious about this girl and returned in secret to see what this girl looked like and why she was different."

I looked at my twin we didn't look that much like each other. One of the few differences was our eye color, my eyes are a brown color, where as Kain had bright luminescent green eyes.

"Lexa when I entered your room through the window and I saw you there sleeping I got a feeling. A feeling that I knew you from somewhere. Then I remembered the birth record  and I also remembered asking my parents if they saw the death record and they said that the doctor refused to show it." I gasped at that fact.

"They were skeptic that you were dead . When I saw you I realized that you were my sister and that weird feeling that I got was because we are somehow connected. And yes I know that it sounds crazy.."  "Actually it sounds pretty normal to me." I was thinking that I had that same feeling when he was near me.

"I am glad that you think that it is not crazy." Kain was smiling at me.

"So Kain when do we start getting my memories back." I said with impatience.

"Well first you have to train Lex." I looked at him "Well you need to learn to protect  yourself, right?" I nodded at him.

"Then I will train you. And one other thing, why were you crying?"He sounded protective.

"Umm well I got caught up in a complicated matter. Both Caspian and Atlas like me and I only like Caspian and Atlas walked in on Caspian kissing me and they started arguing about who gets me and so I stormed out."  I said sheepishly

"Should I kill them for you?" He said in a cold harsh voice.

"No I am perfectly capable of killing them myself." I said with a laugh.
