EUNMI POV
I was surprised with the news but I have to admit I saw it coming. I've been hearing my parents talk about it whenever me and my sister are asleep. I can't hear the reason, but all I hear is "South Korea". The country where I was born. It's no problem for me, I still have friends there. Actually my bestfriend Minah is there. I just want to know the real reason, I need to know. But I know I am not getting it, atleast not from my parents.
"I hope you understand my dear, I may not be able to take care of you and your sister well if you stay with me here." My father explained. "I am sure you will do just fine back in Seoul." He was smiling, I know that he was sad at the same time. My mother has been indifferent since breaking the news to me and my sister.
"But appa, why does it just have to be us and eomma?" My sister Eunjung asked. I believe my sister has a point, and it also doesn't make sense to me why my dad is not going with us, but I do not dare to ask.
"C'mon sweetie, let's pack up and get ready. We'll be leaving in 3 days. Your dad and I already talked to your school teachers and advised them about our move." Wow, they are well prepared. Then things will be easier for me, it's not like I have to explain to my teachers about it.
"But eomma, can we bring Toby?" My sister is referring to our golden retriever. "Ofcourse honey, we won't leave him here." My mother replied. "I am taking Bean too." I stated, talking about my pug that was a gift from my grandmother. "We'll be taking them both. Now go and start packing." My mom shooed us.
"Now I hope that you can still sleep with all the lies you told our daughters." I overheard my mom hissing to my dad. What lie? Our dogs? Him following us soon? I really want to bring them with us, and I want my dad to follow us soon too. But I have a feeling that it's not about the dogs anymore.

"We will miss you Eunice! Promise we'll Facetime all the time! Swear on it!" My close friend Trixie said, Eunice is my english name. "I swear on it. I will call you as much as I can. But I bet we'll be busy in school too. So you have to be lenient." I said laughing.
"I wish we can visit you on school breaks, but my mom is sooo strict." Sania said. I will miss these two ladies. I have been with them for years. I wish I can stay but I want to be there for my mother. I sense something is bothering her about the move and I wanna make her feel that I am there for her.
"I will miss you both too. We'll still see each other. Don't worry!" I assured them. "C'mon give me a hug. It's our last sleepover." I felt sad at the thought. We do it every week. I will miss the sleep overs.

Flight NY-325-511 Bound to Incheon, South Korea. Please prepare for boarding. Departure is in 15 minutes.
"It's time." My mother called out to me and my sister who is too busy looking around for our father. "He's not coming girls. Let's just call him once we arrive in Seoul." My mother stated, it puzzles me that my mother did not even expect my father to send us off.
"But mom! He should send us off!" My sister pouted. "Eun-jung, I am sure Dad has a reason, let's go for now. We don't want to miss our flight. Remember hal-abeoji is waiting for us at the airport." My sister loves our grandfather because she's spoiled to him.
"Oh yeah! Let's go Mommy! Grandpa and Grandma might be tired and leave us. Let's go!" She beamed and skipped towards the entry door. My mom looked at me smiling and muttered a thank you. "What a simpleton!" I said.
While in flight me and my sister fell asleep but I was woken by sniffs and saw my mother crying while looking out the window. I had to ask her. "Mom? Why are we really moving?" my mom looked at me with sad eyes. "I want to give your father a chance to tell you the truth. Please give him time." My mother said with pleading eyes.
"Is there a problem mom? Is it with his business? Or is it another woman?" I saw my mother tense but my gut feel is eating me and I wanna make sure that my mother knows how troubled I am.
She sighed "I know it's bothering you Eunmi, but please give your father a chance Please give us time. Huh?" I can't help but just nod, I can see how my mother is having a hard time. I love my dad, so much. I won't be called a Daddy's girl if not, but I saw how tough it gets for my mother, she does everything for me and my sister. I decided to force myself to sleep.
It's gonna be a long flight.
