Phantom in Middleton

The Fentons move in to Middleton

Prologue

  It was quite a stir for the town of Middleton. Fore a family of renowned scientists of infamy the Fentons were moving in. Despite their numerous PhDs in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, and dimensional theory. They were known for their belief in the paranormal, or obsession with ghosts. They were moving here due to one of Jack Fentons, a large lovable oaf that usually wore an orange and black hazmat suit, experiment going haywire that demolished half a city block and their home in Amity Park. Luckily no one was harmed but the town residents had had enough of their antics, and so the mayor had no choice but to evict the Fentons from the town. The Fentons chose to move to Middleton, Colorado due Ann Possibles insistence from an old friendship between Madeline "Maddie" Fenton, wife of Jack Fenton who also wore a black and blue hazmat suit, and Ann Possible, wife of James Timothy Possible, formed in their college years.

  The Fentons along with their children formed a family of  four. The eldest child was their daughter Jasmine "Jazz" Fenton who was currently the age of seven with dark ginger hair and lime green eyes. Jasmine or Jazz, as she was most commonly known, was extremely bright child who seemed to mature much too quickly; much to their parents dismay. Yet as much as she loved her parents she believed she had to become the responsible one in the family especially for her five year old little brother Daniel "Danny" Fenton. Now Danny Fenton was a quiet and shy, black hair, blue eyed child whose eyes radiated with an intelligence mixed with mischief. Granted being raised with scientific genius parents would do wonders for their children's education were it not for their obsession for the paranormal entity's known as ghosts.

  The Fentons had bought a home a block away from the Possibles. The Fentons home was currently a generic red brick two story home. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor with the dining, kitchen, and living room with a fireplace on the ground floor. I say currently because much to their neighborhood, and even their houses, dismay the home will soon go under a Fenton Works remodeling.

  When the Fentons were moving in to their new home the Possibles decided to come over to help as well as introduce their family. The Possibles are a family of five. With their eldest being a five yr old daughter Kimberly "Kim" Ann Possible. Kim had bright ginger hair tied in pigtails, and dark sage colored eyes, with a face that took after her mother's. The next two children of the Possibles were one yr old twin boys, Jim and Tim Possible whose looks were already beginning to favor their fathers features.

  With much of their personal effects were destroyed the Fentons had only what survived the destruction which consisted of what was in their lab and any appliances that they had remodeled to work off of ecto-energy. So it would take the day to unload and unpack; while the rest of the week would be spent buying furniture, clothing, and toiletries. It had been a few hours since they started the process of unloading, which was handled by the husbands, and unpacking, which was handled by the wives.

  With the children being watched by Jazz in the living room. Kim started getting hungry and decided that as a way get to know the other boy her age, due to Danny being so shy who seemed to only speak when she asked him a question, she'd decided to make him a pb'n'j sandwich to at least get him to open up more. With this decision in mind she got up and left for the kitchen when Jazz and Danny were occupied with the twins. Intending to use the ingredients her parents had brought with them. After grabbing the bread she looked for a toaster so that the bread would be hot enough to make the pb spread easily. After looking for a few minutes in a couple of boxes she found the toaster. After pulling it out she was amazed for a few seconds by the fact that the toaster had a green tinged glow to it. Then she began to look for a plug to proceed with her plan.

  Meanwhile Jazz and Danny had finally noticed that Kim was gone and were wondering where she went. That is until they began to smell the burning bread and the burning tang of ectoplasm that they knew so well. With both siblings turning to each other in alarm they spoke out simultaneously "The Toaster!"

  Just as Jazz was about to tell Danny to stay and watch the boys, Danny had already taken off to the kitchen with the fireplace poker in his right hand and the fireplace shovel in his left. Just as Danny approached the the entrance to the kitchen heard the ping  of the Toaster and the usual sound of the toast popping out and four distinct echoing growls, which he assumed that sounded what ghostly chihuahuas would make, he knew came from the toast. As Danny entered the kitchen he heard Kim shriek and saw her fall backwards at the sight of the mutant toasts. Danny saw the now mutant toasts, which had now gained razor sharp teeth along three of its edges like demented mouths, hopping closer to Kim.

  As Danny ran to Kim he noticed that he would not get her before one of the toasts would be on her. So he threw the poker like a javelin at the toast spearing it. Then he arrived in front of Kim just in time to smash the second toast away with the shovel.

  "Are you ok?" Danny asked Kim without him turning around so he could keep his eyes on the toasts.

  "Y-yeah," as Kim replied a little shakily "but what happened to the toasts."

  "I'll tell you, Hmph!" Smack, as another toast is sent flying. "As soon as we deal with them." Answered Danny as he gestures to the toasts. "But do you mind opening the oven first? I think the toast needs a better toaster." As Danny asked her with a grin on his face. At first she was confused but then realized what he meant. She answered him with a grin of her own and ran to the oven opening it as Danny began to herd/smack the toast towards the now open oven. Kim ran back to retrieve the poker that still held a squirming impaled toast to help Danny. The toast put up a fight for the youngsters but, alas, the toast were not meant to win this battle as Danny and Kim were successful in leading the toast into the oven.

  After setting the oven temperature on high in order to cook the toasts into charcoal. The two looked at each other and then they broke out into smiles and began to laugh for a few minutes till they began to calm down.

  "Does that always happen around your family?" Kim asks "Cuz that's weird..." Then Danny began to look nervous and looked at the floor "But it's cool too." As Kim touched his shoulder causing Danny to look at her to see the smile she had.

  "Really?" Asked Danny as she answered him with a nod of her head. Then Danny began to smile again. "Uh, well we better tell my sis that everything is fine now."

  "Okay," Kim replied "when you get to school I'll bring you to meet my friend Ron, he's weird too." As Danny smiled and nodded in agreement with her offer.
