Red Sky At Night

Night 2

"Rise and shine grade 8's!!", shouted Mr. B, "We've got a long day ahead of us"

Jake, Jonathan and Taheri got up from their tent, still tired. They rubbed their eyes for 3 minutes and yawned 10 times. They stayed up almost all night telling each other stupid jokes like 'What do you call a tree that grows hands? A palm tree! Harharharharhar'. They had a fun time at night but now they can't wake up.

Jake was the first to notice something missing.

"Hey, you guys know where Kevin and Tom are?", he asked his friends.

"I don't know", replied both of them with a shrug.

"Let's ask Mr. B", suggested Jonathan.

So they went to Mr. B which had no idea who they are until Taheri described their appearance;

"So Kevin is kinda chubby, quite tall, very sweaty and he has a ridiculous mustache", Taheri told him.

Mr. B told them that the leader sent them to collect firewood and suggested that they probably got lost. Then, Taheri decided to find them by looking for them in the direction they went. 

He searched for quite a long time but he didn't find them. When he gave up, turned back and saw something scary. Everything in front of him was covered in blood. It occurred to him that he shouldn't have taken more than half an hour but it was so dark, so the checked his watch and saw something crazy. The hands on the watch were spinning like crazy. As if the hands were a pin on a compass. It would spin very fast, stop and turn the other way. He looked up at the sky.

It was blood red with bright stars and a full moon.

"This is just a dream", Taheri told himself.

He checked his watch again and it was normal but it showed 4:28. He ran back towards the camp where he ran into Jonathan. Literally. 

"Ow!", exclaimed Taheri.

"Where were you dude, you were gone for like 9 hours", Jake told him.

As they walked back, Taheri told them what he saw but they didn't believe him.

"I swear, the sky was like like like all red and stuff. There was a full moon and the stars were like  like like way brighter than normal", said Taheri.

"That's great, YOU'RE IN SHOCK TAHERI!!!!!", shouted Jake.

"No seriously", Taheri said.

They tried getting back to camp but Taheri was tired and he was far back behind them. When they made it to camp, Taheri started yelling at everyone about what he saw. As expected, no one believed him. 

7:45 PM

Since Kevin and Tom went missing, Mr. B decided not to send anyone to get the firewood. Instead, they used dry grass and dead leaves which worked as well. They roasted some marshmallows and and turned them into s'mores.

There was a lake nearby where you could fish. Taheri knew how to fish and he brought his fishing pole. So he went to the lake also because he could not stand the terrible jokes Jonathan and Jake were making.

He flung the hook and bait into the waters. The second the hook hit the water, red started spreading from it slowly. He blinked. Once he opened his eyes, the whole lake was blood, the red sky was there again and at the end of his fishing line was a creepy doll that looked like Kevin.

"What is this?", wondered Taheri.

Suddenly, he hear footsteps approaching him. He looked back and saw nothing. He stood up and tried to run back to the camp. Midway, he ran into something. Something dark. Evil. Menacing blue glowed in the night.

Taheri gasped, and that was the last breath of his life.
