You and Newt were the best of friends in Hogwarts, which also meant you were friends with Leta and Theseus. You had a major crush on Theseus and to this day, you still did. Now, you were working in Paris. You lived life normally, you had a muggle job as an art teacher and loved it. After you finished school all four of you went your separate ways. You did miss them and thought about sending an owl but always backed out.
Soon enough you heard about Grindelwald escaping MACUSA's hands and was supposedly in Paris. You were worried on what his plans were and felt the need to always look over your shoulder where ever you went.

You were on the way to work when someone ran right into you. You both rushed to say sorry and the man helped you pic you papers up. "I'm so sorry Miss- (y/n)?" You looked up to see Newt Scamander. "Newt?! It's been so long!" You say excitedly, standing while straightening your papers. "How are you?" He asked, smiling at you. "Pretty good! Still chasing animals?" You asked chuckling and he nodded, blushing slightly. "Ah, yes. What have you been up to?" He asked pointing to the papers you previously dropped. "Oh, I work as an art teacher at a muggle school." You reply showing him some of your art examples you were going to show the class. "What brings you to Paris?" You ask, a short plump man runs up out of breath, "Newt, stop running...so...fast." He said then noticed you, "Oh hello." He said waving at you, and you wave back, smiling. "Jacob, this is my friend, (y/n). (Y/n), this is my friend Jacob." Newt introduced the both of you, "Jacob, we need to find Tina and Queenie." Jacob said reminding Newt, "Oh yes. It was wonderful to see you again, (y/n). Send an owl!" He said, "Also, Theseus is at the Ministry here, if you want to see him and Leta again. Oh, and I'm sorry." He said and ran off with Jacob following close behind. You were confused but turned to go to work. You would stop by on the way home after...

After school ended, you stopped to get some coffee and got Theseus' favorite snack when you both were in Hogwarts. You were slightly nervous to see him, but excited. You walked up to the front desk and spoke to the lady in French, "Où puis-je Mr. Theseus Scamander?" (I used google translate so sorry if it's wrong lol) The lady smiled and wrote his office number down, pointing to the stairs going up. You thanked her, taking the note, You made your way up the stairs.
You found the office door and knocked on it shakily. You heard an annoyed voice say "Come in!" You slowly opened the door and your eyes met a soft brown pair. "(Y/n)? It's been so long!"He said excitedly and got up from his desk to give you a hug. You hugged him back immediately and pulled away, "I brought you a snack, I hope you still like." You giggled nervously. "Thank you! I'm surprised you remembered." He said taking it, "How could I forget?" You shrug, "How've you been?" He asked while taking a bite of his snack. "Pretty good, I moved here after Hogwarts and now I teach an art class at a muggle school." You say smiling, "You?"
"It's been wonderful, working for the ministry. But it's been rough since Grindelwald has escaped." He said then shrugged, "Me and Leta recently gotten engaged." Your heart shattered but you continued smiling. "That's why Newt said sorry." You thought to yourself. "(Y/n)? You alright?" He asked, his face full of concern. "Huh? Oh, yeah, I am." You reply but he doesn't believe you. "If you are then why are you crying?" He asked, you felt your face and notice it was wet. "Sorry, I must go. It was nice seeing you, Theseus." You say smiling at him before walking out of his office, accidentally bumping into someone, "Oops, sorry." You say glancing up and realizing it was Leta. "(Y/n)? What's wrong?" She asked worried, you shook your head and walked away. "What did you do to her?" She asked, looking at her fiancé. He shrugged, "I was telling about my life since Hogwarts, and she started crying when I said we were engaged." He said and she hit him in the arm. "Theseus, she has liked you since she first met you! Come on now, you are an idiot. I know you've liked her too. Go on. Go get her!" She said rolling her eyes, he only blushed. Leta pushed him forward.....
"(Y/n)! Stop! Wait!" You heard a voice call out but you kept walking but felt a hand on your shoulder once you were outside. "Please." He said, begging this time. You wiped your tears and turned towards Theseus. "I'm sorry." He said, pulling you into a full hug. "It's okay. I'll get over it." You whisper, "No, you won't, you want to know why? Because I'll be with you." He said kissing your temple. You looked at him surprised, "W...what about Leta?" You asked, "She let me go to be with you." He said, giving you a smile. "O...oh." Was all you replied before he pulled away. "Here, let me walk you home. Tonight I'll come by and pick you up for dinner tonight." He said with a hopeful smile, you nodded, sniffling. "Okay." You say and you begin to walk to your house.
