ENJOY!

I was just 17. I had been in love with every other guy I saw out there.
You'd be lying to yourself if you haven't been in the same position.

Shifting from one place to another, time after time, year after year, it's a job really.  But then again I had to remind myself that I was finally 18 and an adult so I don't have to go around the world with my family anymore.

Sitting on this plane, thinking of New York, the people, their lifestyle, makes me so happy that I'm finally where I always wanted to be.  Not that my father would agree to live across the globe, but he eventually agreed to my decision of course after a lot of begging. I lived with my dad almost my entire life. No parties, no drinking. Nothing.

But through all of this while he was there with me. Through my ups and Downs.  Most of all, he was there at my worst.

Ian.

He was an year older to me. We lived across the street and we've friends ever since I can remember. We've been dating for almost and year now. And we’ve been separated for almost 6 months now. But we talk on phone daily.

Well, almost.

He's currently studying at Manchester School Of Architecture in London where I stayed last year to finish my high school before my dad transferred again.

"Do you need anything else?", the air hostess asked me interrupting my thoughts.

"No, I'm good. Thank you" She smiled and me and I returned.

After nearly 4 hour flight We finally landed.  And I sure am ready for my 5 years here in this city.  New York City.

As I hurriedly entered the campus, after taking a cab at the airport I went straight to the lady who gave me a piece of paper which had my block and dorm room number on it.

It was in B section, 143.

I make my way through all the people, wondering why are so many boys over here. Leaning into their girlfriends.  But I knew that I was lost.

"Hey, do you know where is room 143?", I asked the brunette girl.

"It's the 3rd door, to the right",she said.  I thanked her and made my way to the room.   As soon as I found it. I took a deep breath because I was pretty excited to meet my room mate.  I didn't wanted to barge in so I just knocked.   She opened the door in a few seconds.

"Hi, you must be Abigail, I'm Emma", she said extending her hand.

"Just Abby", I smiled at her.

"Okay just Abby", she smirked.

"Where are you from?", she asked me as I entered the room.

What do I tell her, really.  I'm from nowhere. I've travelled all my life.

"Umm..London. You?" The fact the I was born in London, travelled so much and I ended up being in London to finish my high school. It's kinda crazy but then I met him.  I wish he was here right now. With me.

"So coming?"

 What?

 "Sorry, what?"

"I asked are you coming to the party tonight?", she asked.

Party? Am I really up for a party? After a 4 hour flight and the fact that I've never been to one.

"Don't over think. okay?" She seems really sweet.

"Yeah...but...I don't know..I've never-" I'm interrupted.

"I'll be going too. So don't worry. Just get ready by 7. He'll be here to pick us up", she says.

He? Who's he?

"Who's going to pick us up?", I ask not making any eye contact.

"My boyfriend, Louis.", she says

I nod without saying another word and continue to unpack my things and place them correctly, while she goes to take shower.

My classes start on Monday i.e. in 3 days. I need to get myself ready because a good start means a good end.
