At least i do better than the man who wants to murder him. I just don't get it. Quinten is such a nice guy, but "The Shadow," as we named his assassin, is a dark character. We only ever see Shadow in the shadows of the lampposts when he is following us at night. I am Quinten's body-guard, Rust. Rust is only my nickname, for my real name is Jeff. We are dealing with a crisis of life or death that lies in mostly my hands to protect Quinten. "Hey Rust! What's up? Hey, could you call up Harley and Banjo to come go to see the new movie Noah tonight?" asked Quinten.

"Meh, sure, are you really ok to go out after what happened last night with T Shadow?" I asked solemnly. The night before, T Shadow had attacked Quinten and I with a pistol. I had still remembered it vividly, but Quinten on the other hand didn't let those things worry him, he was a fearless type of guy. That was probably the reason why Shadow was after him. To get the second toughest guy around murdered, and right in front of his friends faces.

"It just isn't fair," said Banjo once he got to Quinten and mines condo.

"What isn't?" asked Harley, as he walked in.

"You know, T Shadow stalking Quinten ready for murder at any moment." I said with an obvious fake smile.

"oh..." Harley muttered, his face was grim.

"Can we call up Noah, so he can go see the movie Noah with us?" asked Quinten.

"Yeh," I said quietly "The more protectors, the better."

Through a bite of spaghetti, I yelled "THERE HE IS!" T Shadow was standing outside of our window.

"No. No! NO! WE ARE GOING TO SEE THE MOVIE NO MATTER WHAT!" Quinten yelled.

"No," I said sadly, "Quinten, I'm sorry, but we just can't, I'll go rent a movie for us."

"How bout' Catching Fire?" asked Noah while arriving.

Banjo turned "WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!" he yelled. Noah stood there with bloody scraped knuckles, a broken nose and a black eye.

"Shadow happened. That's what, I don't mind much, its more of a trophy for breaking his collar bone." Noah smiled showing a cracked tooth, but soon that smile faded "Can I get some ice for all of it?" he asked.

"How about a doctor?" questioned Harley. Noah obviously seemed to be in pain.

"No. It's too dangerous, the last thing I want is a dead doctor on our hands," Noah stopped and thought,"I'm sorry."

"Why are you sorry?? You're the one who got hurt!" Quinten blurted, very unlike himself. To tell you the truth, Shad was getting to him. Slowly eating away at  his insides bone by bone, organ by organ, courage, and all hope, defeated. Gone.
