The Things We Try To Hide | Mainly MariChat (On Hold)

Chapter 1

"Bubbler! Stop!" I shout as more green bubbles float into the air, containing more adults, two of which are filled with my own parents. 

    "Hey, Bugaboo, need a hand?" Chat whispers in my ear, I wave my hand at him.

    "Silly kitty, now's not the time!" I respond, looking up at my parents in the bubble filled sky.

    "Are your parents up there?" He asks as he pans the sky, probably looking for his parents, "My father's not there."

    "Yeah, mine are there- wait, your dad isn't up there?" He shakes his head and continues to look at me.

    "Who are they? I-if you don't mind me asking?"

    I shake my head, "Silly Kitty, I can't tell you who my parents are, then you'll know who I am!" He nods and grabs my waist.

    "Eiffel tower?" I smile and flick my yo-yo, it wraps around the top and we whip around the tower until we land on the floor where The Bubbler is. 

"Stop, Bubbler!" I shout, taking a few steps toward him.

He whips out his weapon, a bubble wand, "Only if you give me your miraculouses!" 

"No way, I will never give it up!" I clutch my earrings, the thought of losing Tikki fills my mind with thoughts, "Never!" I repeat, beginning to spin my yo-yo. Chat obeys him though, taking his miraculous off his finger and throwing it at his feet, "Chat, no!" I yell desperately and he turns around to look at me, placing a finger over his lips. The Bubbler leans down and picks up his ring, right before he speaks to Hawkmoth, it shatters. Chat runs towards me, grabbing my waist and jumping off the tower, "Chat!" I squeal, as he extends his staff and flings us to the roof of a nearby building. 

"It. . . was a fake," he wheezes, doubled over, supporting his body weight with his hands on his knees.

When I catch my breath, Ladybug lunges at me, slamming me into the roof and pinning me down. She tries to kiss me and for a moment I resist because I'm scared and confused, but I realize her lips are black and I grab her face and kiss her lips. They're soft and taste like watermelon. 

She pushes me off when she comes too and yells, "Chat! What is happening?" She stands and reaches down to help me up, I wrap my hand around her wrist and I pull myself  up.

"Milady!" I shout, pointing behind her, "DARK CUPID!"

Ladybug turns around to see, "Volpina," she growls, lunging at her. As she goes to grab that fox-faced liar, she dissolves into thin air. Ladybug falls off the roof and the next thing I know I'm diving after her and slamming into the cold, hard, concrete slabs that make up the sidewalk. 

    "Gah!" I quickly sit up frantically, looking for Ladybug, but I am met with a screaming headache. A warm substance begins to fall from my hair and I reach my head to feel it. When I pull away, I see blood dripping off my fingers. "L-Ladyb-bug?" Everything is spinning, and the last thing I see is Adrien Agreste falling from the sky.

    "Adrien!" I scream. Volpina is dangling him over the edge of the tower, "I'll do anything!"

"Anything?" She asks and I nod before I realize she's going to have me give her my miraculous. She extends her hand and asks, "Your miraculous?"

    I take a deep breath and finish climbing up, Where is Chat? I think as I hesitatingly take off my earrings and instantly de-transform. I toss them to her feet.
