In the life that Taehyung lives, everyone around him believes in God. All he ever hears is God this and God that, and it annoys him. He doesn't believe in God, he's a pure atheist, and he refuses to ever believe in this God people speak of. He never truly got the point of taking so much time to give your life to someone that you're not 100% sure even exists. It's ludicrous and just flat out dumb in Taehyung's opinion. He had always said that he would believe in God if he walked in front of him, and if Jesus turned water into wine in front of his eyes own eyes. The entire community that he lives in, resents him because of his different beliefs. His parents disliked that he didn't follow their beliefs and have sent him to several "correction camps" in his 17 years of living. He was soon to be an adult, but 6 months just couldn't come fast enough in his opinion.
His life was a horrible. People at school bullied him, he was ignored, laughed at, and shunned by people. All he ever wanted was one person to understand him, but no one would ever stop and listen to his valid points. The pastor at the local Church would single him out and embarrass him in front of every single person during the worship service, every single Sunday.
But little did he know one single day, would change his entire life completely.
After a long day at school, Taehyung decided to stay later than usual to work on some of his schoolwork. He stayed two hours later than normal, and his mother was sending him messages, telling him to come home before dark. Even though his mother disliked what his personal beliefs were, she still cared about her son, and had hope he would one day see the God she believes in.
After reading the final message his mother sent, saying "Taehyung, come home now. Dinner will be ready soon", Taehyung decided to pack his things and head home.
And much to his joy, it was slightly raining outside. The weather was still warm, and that meant the rain droplets were warm as well. He liked the rain and gloomy weather. Everyone was so happy all the time, they never saw the rain as something beautiful. They saw it as something blocking out their beautiful sunlight. Taehyung on the other hand, saw it as something wonderful. It was like him, different, but disliked because people don't want to see the other side of things.
As he was standing on the edge of the sidewalk to look down both sides of the street to see if someone was coming, there was nothing. No cars. No sounds. No headlights. But the second he was halfway through the street, a car came speeding down the road, hitting him straight on. The impact immediately crushed his ribcage and broke his spine, killing him. But the worst thing was, the driver kept going. A hit and run.
While Taehyung was laying on the ground, broken, and bleeding out. He realized he would never see his family again, never get the chance of living life, never move away from home and be who he wanted to be. He died living the life he didn't ask for. He lived the life his community wanted him to live. A sinful free life where everyone lives under God, together. But that never happened, and it never will have the chance to change.
........
White. That's what Taehyung saw when he opened his eyes. He thought he was dreaming, until he sat up and saw enormous golden gates.
"What the hell...." he looked around, seeing white fluffy clouds everywhere. Standing up, he walked towards the gates, and they opened automatically. He walked in, and a powerful voice filled the sky.
"Kim Taehyung, you have entered the afterlife. Welcome to heaven, where you will spend eternity"
Taehyung flinched slightly. 'Eternity? Oh no. No no no. This can't be right' he thought.
"There are rules to follow in this kingdom. If you do not follow these rules, you will receive three warnings. If you dismiss these warnings, you will be banished to Hell where you will spend eternity in pain."
