A/N: This isn't smut, it just gets slightly erotic near the end. Kissing may or may not occur. Mild cursing occurs. Also, Gabe sleeps in this one even though it makes no sense.  It's a necessary plothole, I swear.

When Sam and Dean found out that Cas had never seen the ocean, they hastily finished a job in North Dakota and, after Dean stopped at a Gas 'n Sip to stock up on pie and Sam filled the gas tank of the Impala, they took route to sunny California so Cas could see the Pacific Ocean.

Within the first couple hours on the road, having gotten tired of the bad radio stations, Dean decided to make their road trip more bearable by attempting to make conversation, since Cas had fallen asleep. "Damn, he looks cute when he's sleeping.", Dean thought, immediately growing uncomfortable with his thoughts.

"So, Sammy, how's the back seat treating you? Are your long ass legs cramping up?" Dean chuckled, looking at Sam's unamused expression through the rearview mirror.

"I always ride shotgun. Just 'cause Cas hasn't seen the ocean doesn't mean he gets to sit up front," Sam pouted.

"Well, um, shut your pie hole and deal with it. I even put an extra jacket back there for a pillow. Take a nap or something." Dean squirmed in his seat, not needing Sam to know that he had the biggest crush on Cas and that when he agreed to come to California, Dean wanted to be as close as he could to him.

Sam shrugged, annoyed, and settled down in the backseat of the Impala, where he looked out the window until he fell asleep, too.

Dean, after making sure both Cas and Sammy were asleep, started talking, glad that his fallen angel had to rest now that his grace was gone. He didn't need to hear this.

"The ocean might lash out in high tided jealousy when it sees how grey its blue waters are compared to his eyes," he said to himself. "Fuck, I need to stop." Dean then shook his head and resigned himself to the open road, the thought of a day at the beach with Cas giving him heaps of energy.

When Cas woke up the next morning, Dean was singing along with Elvis as he sang "I Can't Help Falling in Love" sweetly:

"Take my hand, take my whole life too...

For I can't help falling in love with you...

Darling, so it goes...

Surely to th-"

Dean turned the radio off, seeing that Cas had woken up, and hoped he hadn't heard him confessing his love for him through an Elvis song.

"Hey, bud, you're awake! We're only a couple hours away, so I figured we could stop by a DQ, get milkshakes, and more pie. That sound good?" Dean smiled, seeing Cas's enchanting blue eyes light up at the mention of milkshakes.

"That sounds wonderful, Dean. Let us hope that they have not run out of pie this time," Cas grinned, his eyes crinkling in that genuinely happy way that made Dean's heart melt.

"Awesome."

Dean pulled into the Dairy Queen Drive-Thru and ordered two slices of pie, three bacon cheeseburgers, one with extra bacon, as well as a chocolate shake, a vanilla shake (for Sammy), and a strawberry shake for Cas, which Dean found adorable, like all other things Cas related.

After waking up a grumpy Sam, Dean handed everyone their food and they began the home stretch, which went by much quicker than the previous day had.

Dean finally got off of the highway and spent 15 minutes finding a parking spot. Then he got a marvelous idea and pulled Cas' dark blue tie off of his neck.
