These are really good books, it's about a boy from England that sails with his dad and they wreck on Japan and ninja kill everyone but him so he gets taken in by a samurai family. He learns Japanese and goes to a school to be a samurai, he then runs from the government as he is a foreigner and they want to kill him so he then gets taken in by a ninja village and learns the ninja way. He becomes a bad ass
