The night was busy with people hustling around. There was a soft breeze blowing his long black hair around his face. The glow from the city lights punched a hole in the darkness and it allows for people to move freely, safely. His stare was deep, cold, and uninhibited.

The sirens of a cop car are wailing off in the distance, though he doesn't look in that direction. Instead, he's focused on what's right in front of him. A group of thugs are getting a little rowdy in the alley by the A&M general store. He sneers when the men get louder and tough when a couple walks by at the top of the alley. The catcalls from the men can be heard towards the woman.
"Hey mama, what's going on? Why you gotta be with him? Come be with some real men!" They shouted with laughter. The couple didn't look in their direction, instead, the couple lowered their heads and quicken their pace.

After seeing that they had an effect on the couple, it enticed them to press the issue. The loudest of them slaps one of his boys in the chest and smiles as they hustle to catch up with the couple. There were four men total rushing to the couple, and as they got closer to the couple, the eyes that were watching tensed up.
"Yo yo yo yo baby, where you goin? We was hollering at ya back there? It's rude not to respond to someone don't you think?"

"Hey man, we aren't looking for any trouble, we are just heading home," the man clutching the ladies arm stated.
"Oh, you was headed home huh? Well, that's interesting ya see, cuz we were headed this way too. We can walk with you, keep you safe, ya know, from bad people," he laughed. His voice suddenly changed and got more serious. "I want to make sure we get this fine honey home and tuck her in." Seeing they weren't making any headway with these thugs, the couple tried to walk past them, but the thugs wouldn't let them pass. One of the men pawed at the woman. The man still clinging to her arm pulled her to the back side of him.

" Now you see my man, ya messed up, my boy was just trying to help your lady through this confusing situation by getting her outta the way. However, by you putting her behind you, you just made her collateral damage." The thug threw a right cross and hit the man right on the jaw. As the thug started screaming in pain, the man kicked the screaming thug in the gut as he was clenching his hand, sending him back four feet through the air.

One of the other thugs came after the man and was met with a punch right between the eyes and went straight to the ground with his arms straight and twitching. The two remaining thugs came after him from two different directions. One of the attackers had a pipe and swung hard hitting him in the middle of his back. The stranger didn't even flinch, and as he slowly turned around, he got to see the thug caught in a chokehold by the woman. She flexed her arms and snapped the man's neck. The last reaming thug turned and started to run when there was a huge blast of wind, and a masked man landed in front of him. The thug cried,
"Hey man, I don't want any problems! The masked man replied to his cries,
"Too late for all that." The masked man jumped up about four feet in the air, hovered for a millisecond, and kicked the man in the face which sent the thug to the ground in a broken pile of failure.

The couple came running over to where the masked man was standing. Their eyes met, a head nod gesture was made to one another, as the masked man stated.
"Sorry I was late, I was, uh, watching a play unfold." The man said,
"You're always late, you're never on time, you're always, always late, we had to delay what we were doing because..." the lady put her hand on the man's shoulder, and he stopped talking and took a deep breath.
"Thank you for coming to our AID, Aidan." Aiden smiles at her obvious pun to his name.

"Anything for my two favorite people on this forsaken planet." The other man turns around to Aiden,
"Brother, it may be forsaken, but it is my home, be wise to that." Aiden nods his head in understanding.
"Emily!", Aiden hollers for no real reason, "Why is it that Luke is so irritable tonight? I understand he's like this most of the time, but he seems especially cranky tonight." Emily grimaces a little at the question.
"Aiden, please, read your audience." She sighs knowing that Aiden is not from this planet, and doesn't pick up on subtle human emotions or body language.

"I'm fine, sorry for biting your head off Aiden," Luke said flatly. "I am just ready to get home and have this day over with." Emily nodded in agreement and grabbed Luke's hand, and said,
"Let's go home, babe." Aiden smiled and said,
"Sleep? Humans are strange beings indeed, your emotions are weird, and your behavior is immature. I will go back to being awesome, and make sure you get home without any more interruptions." Aiden waved his hand as a huge burst of wind scooped him up and away from the couple. Luke looked up at the sky where Aiden might be but he saw nothing.
"Some days, I hate that guy." Emily smiled as they could hear Aiden scream from the darkness,
"NO YOU DON'T!!" Luke shakes his head, Emily pats his arm and starts to pull him in the direction of home.
