"Akeldima is my home planet." Aiden said to Emily in a softer tone. "It is a beautiful planet, well taken care of, and it is far superior to this dump you call Earth. How do you live like this?" He asked Emily rhetorically. Emily breathed in about to speak as Aiden continues on his rant. "Imagine the most beautiful place here on earth, and time's that by 10, no, 20, no, wait, yeah, 20. Only then will you have an inclination to just how beautiful our planet is." Aiden looks in Emily's direction to see if she's going to say anything. Emily rushes her words,
     "It sounds lovely!" Aiden replies,
"How would you know, you think your sunsets are beautiful." Aiden shudders and lets out an intolerable grumble at the same time.

"Well, this has been fun," Emily continues, "I need to get back to HQ. They are expecting me to be there when media circus arrives for the announcement."
      "Announcement?" Aiden asks.
"Yeah, you know, the one I just told you about ten minutes ago?" Aiden ponders while Emily rolls her eyes.
"I guess men are men no matter what planet they are on." She huffs and leaves the room.
"Aiden yells to her, "Women on our planet are kind, just thought you might want to know that!" With no retaliation or recognition that his words hit,

Aiden shakes his head and mutters, "Women are high strung no matter what race they are." Emily can hear Aiden laughing as she slams the door exiting the building.

Aiden looks out the window of the Old Statehouse into the big blue sky. The skyline is littered with building tops, but the sun gets through and shines brightly in his eyes. He starts thinking of his home, and why he had to leave. The images of war come to the forefront of his mind. The screams of falling soldiers, enemies loud plea's to spare their lives as he plunges his makeshift sword through their throats.

The tears of the families torn apart by war haunt Aiden's mind from time to time, but the most damaging and heartfelt memory was being banished from his home a few short years ago. He can see his mother crying and begging for the planet council to change their minds, or find a different punishment.

Aiden's thoughts are disrupted when Luke comes into the room.
"Hey man, we have to get into our positions." Without a word, Aiden nodded in agreement. As Luke left the room, Aiden looked back out the window as if to say goodbye to someone who was standing there. He breathed deep, pulled his black hood over his head, and walked out of the room.

Fixed atop the Millenium Tower Aiden radios over to Luke.
"I am in position." Luke who is at the One Financial building responds,
"Copy that. Keep your Eyes open, and don't forget to call out any suspicious behavior." Aiden rolls his eyes at that comment.
He clicks the button, "Thanks for letting me know why we are up here." Luke looks into the sky contemplating a response. Emily's voice breaks through their ears before he gets a chance too.
"Hey boys, sorry to break up your little witty banter, but everyone is here, and in place. The crowd is full, the governor is ready to make his announcement. Please make sure you guys call out anything that we should be aware of. Please keep the airwaves clear so I can hear other chatter, two different earpieces gets confusing if you all are talking at the same time, especially if you two get going back and forth."

Both Aiden and Luke respond with,
"10-4." The sky is clear and you can see for miles, the cool fall air flows all around, bringing with it, that salt water smell. Aiden looks around and sees nothing but sky and building tops. 'It is peaceful up here,' he thinks to himself. His zen-like trance was interrupted by screams of horror from down below. He snaps awake as Luke comes over the earpiece,
"DO YOU SEE THAT?! It's just over the harbor, there's three of them!" Aiden looks toward the water and sees three very familiar spaceships headed their way. He gets a sinking feeling in his stomach.
"Emily cries out over the earpiece, "What are those things?!

The chaos on the ground has erupted as everyone flee's for cover. Aiden sighs as he breaks through the airwaves,
"Fear not, they aren't here to hurt anyone, they are here for me."
