It was a warm sunny day at the Derry quarry and everyone was swimming in the cold water of the quarry. Fifteen year old Eddie Kaspbrak sat on the edge of the cliff above the water swinging his feet when a raven haired boy sat next to him. "Why is a pretty boy like you sitting alone?" the mysterious boy asked causing Eddie to look over. Eddie looked over at the boy noticing the freckles coating his face and that dark hair.
"You tell me" Eddie replied.
The boy smiled at Eddie. "Well wanna go for a swim with me?"
"But I don't even know your name and I've just met you"
"My name? Well its Richie Tozier" The boy slightly smirked.
This caused Eddie to blush. "Fine I'll go swimming with you Richie"
"First tell me your name" Richie requested.
"Eddie, Eddie Kaspbrak"
Richie held out his hand as Eddie took it. Both boys stared into each others eyes, as if it were love at first sight. The day went on as they spent hours of talking or splashing each other in the cool water. Neither of them knew that they would see each other after this summer fling.
