"Daddy?" Taehyung called out as he sat on their bed, his legs swinging back and forth.
"Yes angel?"
"Where Gukkie?"
Jimin sat up from his laying position on their bed and shuffled to the edge of the bed where Taehyung sat.
"In his room I think... Do you want to see him?" He questioned, eyebrows furrowed.
Taehyung gave a quick nod with a small smile playing on his lips.
Jimin wondered when it was exactly that Taehyung had become comfortable around Jeongguk. He had barely spoken to him from what he knew and was baffled by how he became accustomed to him so quickly.
Maybe it was the extensive care and kindness he had shown them that allowed him to get used to him because after all, they hadn't been treated with such love, care and caution since before him.
Jimin only nodded. He leaned over to kiss Taehyung's forehead which made him giggle. Jimin smiled small then stood from the bed to walk out the room.
"Daddy!" Taehyung exclaimed.
Jimin turned around to be engulf in a tight hug by his boyfriend. He wrapped his arms around his waist and smiled. Taehyung quickly pecked Jimin's lips then ran away to hide under the sheets due to his embarrassment.
Jimin chuckled as he stared at the lump which was Taehyung in their bed. He then turned around to walk out of their room and closed the door behind himself. He made his way down the hallway until he stopped at Jeongguk's room.
He stared at the door, suddenly feeling nervous as he wondered is he would be invading his privacy or disrupting him. He bit his lip, asking himself if he really should knock on the door, but he shook himself out of the mindset and knocked on the door regardless.
"Come in!" Jeongguk shouted out to him.
Jimin sucked in a deep breath as he pushed the door handle down and opened the door.
"Hi." He spoke quietly.
Jimin found Jeongguk, wearing glasses with a gold frame as he sat at a desk in his room. He was on his computer, the desk covered in masses of papers.
Jeongguk looked up to smile at Jimin. "Don't stand by the door hyung, come in."
Jimin did as he was told and stepped into Jeongguk's room and closed the door.
"What- what are you doing?" Jimin asked, hoping to make small talk before telling him why the came to see him.
"Ah, I'm just doing some extra work."
"What do you do?"
Jeongguk stopped clicking on his computer and turned in his swivel chair, now focusing all his attention on Jimin.
"I'm a judge at Seoul High Court." He explained with a huge grin on his face.
Jimin's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He never would've expected that he would have such a professional, permanent job as his age. He had assumed he was a Chaebol, but it was now clear to him on how he could afford to live in such a lavish house.
"... Is it really that surprising?" He asked with a humorous twinge to his tone.
"No! N-no... It's just- you're so young. How can a punk like you be a judge?"
Jeongguk chuckled and shook his head. "I get that a lot."
"Yeah..."
There was an awkward silence between the two men as they stared at each other, which made Jimin shifted his weight onto each foot as he became uncomfortable under Jeongguk's intensive gaze.
"So... What was it you needed?" Jeongguk spoke up, breaking their silence.
"Taehyungie, h-he said-" Jimin paused as something caught his eye. "Did- did Taehyung draw that?"
Jeongguk looked back at the drawing Taehyung had given him and smiled. He looked back at Jimin and nodded.
"Yeah, actually. When Seokjin hyung was here a few days ago he gave it to me. It was really sweet of him, it was surprising, but sweet. Which reminds me... I've been meaning to ask you something." Jeongguk informed.
Jimin gulped. "Y- yes?"
"Taehyung-ssi, that day he seemed different. I've been trying to pin my finger on it but I couldn't. Seokjin hyung knew when I told him but he wouldn't tell and said it was for either one of you two to tell me when you're ready. I hope I'm not being too intrusive..."
"He goes through age regression. It's a coping mechanism. He slips headspace and when he does, he regresses to any age between one and five." He explained as he twiddled his thumbs.
Again, silence dawned upon the two. Jeongguk looked up at the drawing Taehyung had made for him and a smile found it's way onto his face.
"That sounds so damn cute. I love kids."
Jimin grinned. "Good, because Tae has been asking for you."
"Then what are we waiting for? Lets not keep him waiting."
Jimin and Jeongguk left his room and made their way to Jimin's and Taehyung's. The older had a particularly good feeling about how his and Taehyung's relationship with Jeongguk would develop and play out over time.
"Tae, I brought Jeongguk." Jimin spoke as he poked his head through the door.
Taehyung shot up from the bed and looked around with wide eyes. "Where daddy? Where?"
Jimin opened up the door wider and Taehyung's eyes lit up once he saw the person he had been wanting to see all morning.
"G-Gukkie!" He shouted as he ran up to him and wrapped his arms around his waist.
"Hey little one." Jeongguk replied with a grin on his face.
And for the first time, ever since they had left him, Jimin felt reassured that everything was going to be okay. That nothing could harm them, that nothing could get to them all because of Jeongguk.
He smiled genuinely at Taehyung and Jeongguk's interaction.
"Daddy, daddy! Lets play! Wanna play!" Taehyung grinned, as he bounced in his place.
"Of course baby, anything you wanna do."
Taehyung grinned as he clapped his hands, and Jimin and Jeongguk stared at Taehyung with much adoration for him.
For the first time, Jimin felt that everything was going to be okay.
