bright. shining through everybody's walls.

i am the darkness of the moon & night.
destructive enough to break you down.

together, we are the eclipse.
i overlap every surface of you.
every nook and cranny overpowered by darkness and thievery.
yet, you still shine through me.

throughout the phases of us,
we grow apart and come back together; slowly, tauntingly.
the waves of the ocean copying, luring in something worse than sins.

without you, the world would be cold and distant, the torture of unnerving silence controls and takes over.

without me, everything would be dusty.
dry, aching waters under detachment.
no longer overflowing joy and only painstaking warmth.

we draw back together slowly, cautiously. the new season of us arises and thrives.

an eclipse.
an escape.
light and darkness shall never be mixed,
as though the waters control our destiny.

we drift apart as rapids.
and fall apart like the seasons passing.

repeat.
