Prologue

Amy pov

My brother Percy just got back from his newest quest to be able to propose to Annabeth, (given by Athena) when I walked up to him with tears in my eyes.
"Hi Amy, what's wrong" he asks, I cant bring myself to say the words that will crush his heart, so I just shake my head. "Ooookay, where's Annabeth?" I burst into a new batch of tears when he asks, and motion for him to follow me. As we get to the beach where we both hang out with our 'other halfs' we see princess blonde curls and black hair intertwined as our other halfs make out with each other. "Sweetheart, when are you going to break up with your loser boyfriend? I already broke up with his sister today." My ex-boyfriend, Chad, says to Annabeth
"Soon honey, he's on a new quest or something I want to tell him when he gets back, but his slut of a sister wont tell me when he'll come here" she answers, moaning as he kisses her. Percy slowly walks up to them pulling a little black box out of his pocket.
"Annabeth?" He whispers quietly as they pull back and SHE gasps, he tosses the box to HIM as he hisses slowly "I was going to propose to you on the beach tonight, but now I guess he can do so, I wish you both the best."
He walks back to me and we start to run away from the beach back to camp, not that they wanted us anyway our half brother, Gabe, made the camp hate us by lying to them, as he was hurting us, we pack up our stuff to leave silently agreeing, that we would go to the gods to ask for death.
