The answers were as follows:
- What is Lily's weakness? - She's afraid of losing all those she care about again - PTSD.
- What is Lionel's problem with her? - "He can see that she is suffering and can't do a damn thing about it since she refuses to acknowledge that she is hurting; deciding instead to just muddle through and that infuriates him."
- Why does Lionel want Lily by Alstair's side? - "Because she can survive it, Alstair won't be able to manipulate her, she would be able to keep him back while at the same time not hesitate when killing assassins. No love yes, she doesn't have what Alstair wants, but she has what he needs."

With the first and second question revealed, the results come out as follows:
Question 1
For question 1 none had the right answer. There were however some very good answers among the suggestions! Generally your answers fell into the following categories:
- Right, but not the answer.
- Wrong, but with the right effect.
All of them a very insightful, so it was very hard to decide what to do! But as none of them were entirely right I cannot quite declare a winner for this question.
Still, you all made a good effort, and it's more fun not to let the prize rot, so what do you say I roll a die?
As everyone agreed it was decided by die!
The die was rolled and @LiannaNovic came out as the winner!
Question 2
I knew this one would be hard for you guys, because I have not been helpful at all!
Now, whether you loved him or hated him the answer was different than what you were expecting!
@nurseintraining
"He can see that she is suffering and can't do a damn thing about it since she refuses to acknowledge that she is hurting; deciding instead to just muddle through and that infuriates him." Is what you wrote among everything else.
This was exactly it. I was quite happy with just this one sentence ^^
Question 3
This one was the one I considered the hardest. I didn't give you guys a lot to go on other than the scene from Alstair's point of view where he says he accidentally snapped and tried to give Lionel some of Gilbert's work. Furthermore, you had to filter it out from his frustration towards her as described in question two.
Generally it came down to 'Making Alstair face reality', 'bodyguard Alstair' or 'for her own best in some way' for most guesses, still the answer that won was this:
"Because she can survive it, Alstair won't be able to manipulate her, she would be able to keep him back while at the same time not hesitate when killing assassins. No love yes, she doesn't have what Alstair wants, but she has what he needs. Proficiency in war too."
As commented by @IanGhiro0909
That one little part of 'hold back' is the golden part of this. It was a brilliant little insight into his priorities.
More than being a good queen in itself, and more than her proficiency in war, perception or anti-poisoning, it is that she can hold him back when he attempts to walk down a dark path he shouldn't.
Alstair is manipulative and that doesn't stop at his interaction with people, but also in ruling. In the end all Lionel wants is someone at Alstair's side that can keep him on the righteous path, and the only one he knows can fulfill that role is Lily.
Thank you all for participating!
That is all for now, this was fun and gave me a lot of insight into your thoughts on the characters and what I need to express more or less of! I look forward to the characters you come up with and introducing them during the next arc!
