"Max, wake up, you'll be late again" the enthusiastic voice of his mother booming from downstairs.

But Max Morrison only laid there, the early sun reflection through the curtains of his third floor messy bedroom window. The light shined very bright through the golden green earth that seemed to only move around him in slow motion each time he slowly opened his eyes.

He had forgotten to shut the shutters last night and a very small gust of wind slowly craved in, dancing his curtains and onto the cool air on his face.

It was the first Monday of September, another day, another light and unfortunately for Max, another first day of school.

The summer holiday had seemed like only a few days ago, when Max could just sleep in longer then usual and not be bothered about being awaken this early, when he didn't have to worry about anything

But Max wasn't lying flat on his bed while pretending to still be asleep or whining about a possible injury that he had got from the previous day or pretending to be ill,

He laid there as the pasted colours of time just slowly circled him in a small space between himself and his bedroom, closing him in tight and just continued to look onto the walls of his ceiling, looking like an numbed person just staring at darkness.
Heavy screeching music in his ears at a high pitched tone and took over his hearing.

He felt himself sinking into the clean and white silk fabric of his pillows, just the comfort of them also enclosing in on him and sinking him into what knows where in his encased mind...then maybe he could just get more sleep and not..

Then "MAAAAAXXXXX!!!!!!"

The high pitched tone was replaced by the high pitched screams right next to his ear, almost damaging his ear drums in their process as he bolted up like lighting. The ringing continued in his ears like a loud beating heat rate of a banshee, it stung like hell and only more deeper into it pits. the sound was so loud, so hurting, so small...he looked around only into the eyes of his giggling, now burst out the demonic laugh of his sister who was standing next to him

"Hey Maxie" she flashed her innocent eyes gleam and smiled at him like a Cheshire Cat

Then the ringing stoped, the stinging hesitation halted and there was only the sound of his breathing, raced along with his sister's

Then with only a few seconds to come to his senses, Max glared at his sister with big killing eyes, but she took no notice of them and just giggled more.

"Emma, get out my room" he yelled quietly, but firmly

But instead of running out in victory, she only danced around his bed frame, her arms waving in air and she took a mid leap jump across his floorboards, wobbly, but still with grace

Emma Morrison was a small girl, an average height for a healthy seven year old and the spirt of a wild animal as their mother would say, she was cubby cheeked with a slight blush to them with only a few dimples and freckles here and there. Her brown autumn hair copied her big dark brown eyes.

"Don't be such a wimp" she reported back to him with her brown hair slapping her in the face, typical, what would you expect from a seven year old ballerina that just can't keep quiet for even a funeral.

He looked at her again and noticed that Emma was wearing her usual creased pink shirt that was followed on by her blue jeans and white adidas trainers.

"Hey Maxie, mom's gonna go bonkers on your door if you're not up soon"

"Haha, very funny sis, now get out by room"

"Please?" She asked while she held up her finger and shook it. Max mumbled in response

He was glaring daggers at her, but she only smiled

"Come on Maxie, say please" She smiled a big toothy smile

Max only glared at her more, his red hot face scrunched in a scowl

"Fuck off" he responded proudly, her face had a wide mouth of shock

But then she smiled and shook her head

Then she called out

"Mom, Max said a bad word to me"

Then a angry, tone of a possible furious mother lion responded to her cub

"Max, be nice to your sister!"

Max had gone from being angry to furious, it was her fault for not leaving his room, but he still had to respond

"Fine!"

He glared knifes and rocks at her. She again giggled and only flipped her hair back as she finally skipped out of her room with victory

Max sighed, this was going to be a long day
